Little girls love this vanity!
I purchased this for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. It was by far her favorite gift. Although the entire vanity is made of plastic, it is fairly sturdy. She loves keeping her "treasures" in the drawer and pop up jewelry box. It is small enough to fit in a corner. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's just a big piece of plastic that will probably only last a few years. I would purchase this again simply because my daughter has enjoyed it so much.

Talking vanity a hit!
My three year old granddaughter was enchanted with all the features. So was everyone else, including all the adults. I would have liked to see the seat a little wider and taller.

Kind of on the cheap side and not very interactive
We have bought a bunch of the Mattel Sofia the first products and they have been a bit hit or miss-some OK and some are terrible. This one is one of the not so good toys.Pros--Sofia's voice can be heard when you push a button -- the button is her amulet. She says 6 things:1. A smile is your best Princess accessory2. Being neat makes a princess look sweet3. Royalty comes from within4. Get lots of rest to look your royal best5. What a wonderful day to be a princess6. A princess always looks her royal beat-comes with a card for the Mattel amulet which is sold separatelyCons:-only says six phrases when you press a pretty unimpressive button. Other than that, the only other way to interact are pictures of clover the rabbit and her bird friends that you can slide in and out and out of the mirror to see or hide them-there is also a jewelry box that you can hide by pushing it into the vanity--ours took a lot of force to push it in--younger kids might have a problem with this. Pushing the button to release the jewelry box is easy though.--the drawer gets a little stuck so if the vanity is not right next to the wall, pushing the drawer in tips the vanity over--unsteady on its feet, easily tipped over in general and plastic not that durable -- all thin plastic and stickers. I didn't expect it to be a++++ quality but expected better than this for $80+--accessories cheap; especially the Tiara hair comb that won't even stay in your hair--mirror is like a fun house mirror; it distorts your faceOVERALL, unless your child loves just sofia and that alone would be enough entertainment in and of itself--there's nothing really interactive--no music, no lights and only a few phrases.UPDATE: the drawer still sticks but the jewelry box has loosened up a bit.

My 4yr old Loved it
My daughter loved this toy Christmas Morning and still plays with it everyday we got her some make-up and Jewelry to go with it so she had something to put in her Jewelry box and her drawer she loves setting in front of it and getting ready just like Mommy she doesn't ever hit the button to hear Sophia talk or pull out the little animals the only thing she did was pull Clover the bunny completely out and we had to put it back together but other then that she LOVES this toy and for any little girl who is a Sophia The First Lover will love this toy
