Update after 1 month. This is a an improved product of a time-tested design that I recall from my childhood camping. The added silicone seal around the lip has proven effective against liquids on our sailboat. The eggs sit in their compartments with 2 sets of "magic fingers". At first you must be careful to gently push the eggs into position, heads up it'll take some practice. Once you get them all up-and-down you can gently press the lid onto the eggs - which depresses them between the the "fingers"and holds them away from the sides - in suspension! Make sure the pink seal is aligned properly all around, and then, cupping the carrier with both hands wrapped around the sides, snap the closures to. Switch hands to the ends - repeat, and done! There's nothing so mouth watering as frying eggs in the open air - enjoy! Not cheap, and will take a while to arrive, but well worth the cost and waiting period.

Very nice design, in theory, but the small plastic spikes that are designed to keep the eggs from touching the sides and providing a secure hold, are pointy and stiff and unless one is extremely careful, the egg will be pierced and break. Then it's a mess to clean. It's also extremely difficult to clamp down - very tight/tough clamps. If you succeed in getting it loaded and shut it will hold your eggs better than anything I know, but it's poorly designed. Actually, it's well designed, just poorly executed. The plastic tabs should have been angled out and be less pointy or more flexible. The locking tabs should be less stiff. I'm disappointed in it and will replace it with something more basic.

It’s rugged, but ours is very difficult to open and shut for some reason, and overall I am really not impressed

The product arrived on time and intact. Thank you to the seller but the product breaks the eggs while closing the lid. I used large brown eggs from the grocery store and I couldn't close the lid without breaking two eggs. Wish I would have read earlier reviews first.

It's WAY too hard to open and close. Not to mention big and bulky. I'm using an old one again, and this one is going in the trash.

I put raw eggs in it to travel. When I arrived at my destination 3 eggs were broken. Closing & opening it is VERY difficult

Great for transporting eggs but the locking flaps on the ends and sides are pretty stiff.

Works really great and keeps all the liquids inside
