Great value for the money! Work great!!!!!
These are great, value for the money and due exactly what they say they do. These work in light and pitch dark, the IR settings are impressive. It took me a min to get used to the IR settings zoom, focus at different distances but this is straight forward and was natural. In the pitch black woods scanning the higher IR bleach out the image as you scan past closed trees and objects. If you have street lights and bright moon the. Turn the IR down for the situation and increase as needed when you zoom. The focus is short throw and located in a great position. Housing is not too heavy built feels quality. I have a lot of experience with military grade night vision, while this is digital and a bit different it is surprisingly clear and useful. My only complaint about digital is the backlit screen puts off light and kills natural night vision so the eyes have trouble adjusting back and forth. These are a great buy and work amazing for the money.

Not bad for the money!
Ok here is the deal. They actually work good for up to a couple hundred feet. but they do not focus to a sharp image. you cant certainly tell object clear enough to know what they are, but still, it never comes in to clear focus and s digital I guess that's all you could expect. A better quality infrared light could have been used to hide the red hue little bit but its powerful enough to light up wht you need to see more than enough. it is large and heavy. it could be more compact. it starts at 2x when it should have been 1x then zoom to 2x. things seem closer than 1x at low setting. field of view is pretty narrow, but with some of it's short comings it works as good as any NV I have used for 129.00 that's for sure. In retrospect i think I should have purchased the monocular version and I still might, you dont need binos, as you would get same view width, they use a lens to make you see a tv screen, so a monocular would be smaller and better as you could keep one eye adjusted to light and when using the other to look through NV you dont completely loose your eyesight until they adjust. in total darkness its bright on your eyes. so I still think it has good applications, but some changes to buttons are needed as you can turn it on r iff by accident, so recessed buttons would be better, but all and all it's a good unit and it does work pretty darn good for the price. it's the best of the cheapo units I have ever tried. and I will be needing it in the remote place we now live just to check property. and maybe even watch deer and other animals.

Good value
Used it for a bit, the seller is a cool dude.Bad:- The screen inside is a bit bright, if you have natural night vision you'll want to close one eye while you use it as the light will make everything seem dark again- It works as a flashlight, but with IR. The IR light shines (invisibly) and the screen lets you see how it reflects. Better for close-range sight (i.e. a mile or less).Good:- Super easy to use - literal plug and play, except with batteries instead of a plug- Well made - The entire thing is made of hard plastic. Nothing shakes inside and it seems resistant to the outdoors- Eye visor - The visor area has a rubber cover to stop any light from the display from bleeding out. It also provides enough room for those wearing glasses to see with ease- Display - Everything is grayscale, reflective surfaces (slippery puddles, the eyes of animals, etc..) really stand out more than they otherwise would. The contrast is also high enough to ensure that everything is clear and crisp.Overall, great product.

It does the job!
I wanted a night vision device to see if the coyotes out back were coming into my yard. I did not need it for combat or hunting! My tree lines are anywhere from 50 to 75 yards from my back deck. As advertised, I can see trees, rabbits, deer, and cats clearly at these ranges. I was amazed at how clear the image is at normal and 2X size. The IR intensity increases as described. The viewer allows me to wear my glasses: you hold the device at the distance from your face that allows for clear viewing. For backyard use, this Nightfox device works beautifully for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend it for uses such as mine.

great performance at a low price
Viewing the screen is a little uncomfortable but not much more than regular binoculars. It is really easy to use: just pop in eight AA batteries (not included), and turn it on. Sharp image, easy to adjust the brightness of the IR source. I was amazed to find something this good at this price. Just realize that you are lighting up the area in front of you with an infrared light source, so everything is pretty much evenly illuminated. On the screen, what you see is pretty much the same as if you had a bright flashlight. You are seeing the infrared light REFLECTED by the objects in view. It is not a thermal camera, which shows the infrared light EMITTED by objects (that's what people generally think of when the term 'night vision' is used).

The night fox binocular works and does the job.... if you are looking for a very basic device.
I like the fact that the binocular is light and easy to carry around. The clarity of vision is just ok, even when adjusting the brightness button. The day vision feature is almost useless since the vision is grainy, even when applying the day lens included. Overall an ok product at a good price point.
