Piece measures 11 7/8" wide and not 12". I needed a 12 inch piece, hence why I ordered a 12" piece.Secondly it's not even close to square. They much have a monkey with a table saw cutting these up, it's difficult to get 1/8" out of square on a 12" length.The acrylic itself is fine, the cuts are terrible.

The Plexi is good quality and clear, but there is no padding in the shipping box at all. The box was falling apart before I even opened it.Thankfully I am cutting it down and don't need that corner that was damaged. Also, the panel measures 23 7/8 not 24 inches.

Cons:1).The plexiglass sheet I received is actually 11-7/8” to 11-15/16”, as several reviews have stated. It is certainly not 12” square. That didn’t make a huge difference to me other than making for more complex measurement calculations for my intended purposes, but I can see how for some it could create an issue. Know that before buying it.2.) Product does come alone in a cardboard box. Mine did. I didn’t buy any additional items in the purchase, so other items may be combined if more are purchased.3.) While not specifically exclusive to this item alone, this material can be somewhat difficult to cut or drill if the right tools/methods aren’t used. It isn’t obnoxiously hard, but it is dense (if that makes any sense). Sharp cutters and drill bits are a must. Slower speeds will cause chipping, while speeds too high can cause moderate melting. Finding the right tool to modify is essential. Oh, and wear a respirator if cutting or drilling it. Milling this stuff stinks. I don’t think the off gas or sawdust from milling it is harmful, but the odor of the milling process is worth wearing protection alone.Pros:This product is amazing. Too many positives to list numerically. Although I haven’t measured it’s thickness with my calipers, it appears to be spot on at 1/2” thick. It’s super robust and seems to be amazingly strong. It comes with a sticker backed/adhesive backed thick paper film on both sides. This was beneficial for moderate scratch protection prior to use or application, but I found it most helpful for marking with a pencil for alterations, cuts, hole drilling, etc, which is impossible to do with a pencil on the plain plastic, unless you actually scribe and scratch it or use a Sharpie style marker. The crystal clarity of this stuff is out of this world. More clear than ANY actual glass I’ve EVER seen. I’m actually so impressed with this product that I’m trying to think of more things I can use it for to buy more. I made a router base plate with mine and this product was clutch! It was almost like it’s the perfect material, size, and dimensions for this. I couldn’t imagine anything working better.

The sheet arrived in good condition and seems to be high quality. However, the 12" x 12" dimensions are incorrect. It is actually 11 7/8" x 11 7/8". Thankfully, I didn't need exactly 12" x 12" but if someone else does, this will be too small. My guess is that the manufacturer is cutting these pieces from a large sheet and cutting them on the line at 12" x 12" and thereby losing 1 or 2/8" of material in making the cut.

I spent numerous hours fabricating a mast support for my sailboat for when on the trailer. Previous mount was 1/2” plywood and I wanted to go with something that would last longer without needing maintenance. Second time on the road the acrylic snapped in half and not where pieces were glued together. The mast and boom this was supporting had a combined weight of 20 pounds, only half of which rested on this mount. What a waste of time and money!Thankfully I tied the mount on and the mast elsewhere, or this would have been a dangerous situation. Do not use this to replace glass, wood or anything that needs to be structurally sound!!!

This product arrived so badly damaged it was not usable. It was coated in white sandy abrasive contaminants with the heavy unprotected gritty product grinding up against each other arriving in such poorly packaged boxes. This wasnt a UPS problem.. You would have to be a complete moron, or be on drugs, to purposely package product like this. $809 and 100lbs worth of garbage.. and now I'm playing hell trying to get the return shipping labels sorted out. What a complete waste of money and time....

I am using this for a router guide. It's strong, very easy to work with if your bits aren't too fast (I used a drill press) and clear so that you can see your work. Perfectly priced for one-off jobs like this. Not practical if you were looking to do something larger. For that you'd just buy a normal sized sheet and cut accordingly.

I ordered this to build a new base plate jig for my router so I don't need it to be precise therefore it meets my needs. However, if you are looking for pristine and exacting dimensions you're probably going to have to look elsewhere. The sheet came free floating in a standard amazon box. There was a sizeable chip in one of the corners and the sheet was full of grit from the cutting process. The edges are fairly rough and will need some trimming to get rid of jaggedness.
