Description says it is a 4ch unit with bnc loop output but the pics show 8ch inputs with no loop outputs. Can you confirm which this is?

It does come with 4 channels inputs and 4 channels loop out. Because the manufacturer uses the same back panel of 8 channels multiplexer, that's why it shows 8 channels on the back.

Does the model without looping Does the unit provide automatic sequential switching?

Yes. Please push the "Menu" on the remote, then choose "AUTOSEQ SETUP", then you can set AUTOSEQ time for each channel.

What is the loop out function for? can I set up each output screen lay out individually?

The loop out function is for duplicate image only. Whatever you set on each screen and the loop out is same as the screen.

Will this support a 1080p hd ntsc

Sorry, it will not support 1080P HD camera. it only supports Analog cameras.
