Blumex Parrot Tulip 10 Bulbs - Exotic & New - 12/+ cm Bulbs

These parrot tulips were supposed to be orange with streaks of blue, green, yellow and red BUT they were just plain old orange. So disappointing. I ordered them in April, 2020, got them in June 2020, planted them in the fall and they just bloomed last week (March 2021). Also, only about 1/2 of them bloomed. Vendor didn't respond so Amazon provided a credit. I would avoid Seedwizard products.

I've ordered these for two years in a row from the same seller. All bulbs arrived healthy. Last year's blooms (spring 2015) were absolutely stunning. That's why I ordered more. I was hoping to add to my collection. This year none of the ones from last year came back. I planted them in a variety of soils and expected for some of them to die. They were my first tulips so the error might be with my inexperience. All the articles I read said they would need to be dug up for storage about every three years so I felt OK leaving them in the ground. We had an unusually wet summer so that might've been an issue too.When this year's tulips bloomed they were not the correct bulbs. Although very pretty, I was slightly disappointed. I hope that they are available for ordering this fall as I will try once more. (The first year blooms were stunning.) I'm attaching a photo of the ones that bloomed this year. Last year's looked just like the photos on the Amazon site.

All of my bulbs arrived healthy and all grew and even tried to bloom but sadly, they developed some kind of rot. I think this was due to our wet clay soil, not the bulbs that I recieved. Only one has actually made it to bloom, but that one is beautiful. It looks a little silly blooming by itself, but it's a trooper and the colors are amazing- more green than blue, but very fun.

My first time planting these, one of the first tulips that appeared. They all came up. I planted some in another spot that gets less sun, they have flowers but are a little a little slower to open. Definitely like more sun.

The SIZE AND QUALITY of the bulbs WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING.

None germinated
