Excellent pump and flow rate
I bought this because my garden flooded. The multi-hose adapter that comes with it doesn't really work with ordinary 1/2" hose. Dip the end in hot water first to soften it. I have bought a 40mm corrugated pipe and that works far better. It is quite tall but seems to work ok. Having deepened my soakaway and installed some French drains, now it's down to the commissioning phase.

How to fit a 15mm Hose
Fitting 15mm hose The pump works fine but not in very shallow water for shallow water I put it in a tub and scoop water in to the tub or use a small bilge pump Fitting a 15mm hose is difficult. Many reviews have said it can't be done and people have bought 19mm hose. To fit the hose you need heat it in hot water (near boiling, please be careful) and then insert a wide object to expand it. I used the handle of some pliers. You then need to put it on the multi-adaptor and screw the connector tight. Don't forget to put the grey locking cap on the hose first before placing the hose on the adapter.

Great value compared with hire costs
Easy to set up and pumps at a fair rate. Garden constantly floods pending work to be done. Up to 9 inches during recent storms. Clears whole garden in 2 hours. Best to create a small dip in order to drain to the lowest point.

Great pump a little to expensive compared to other pumps on the market
Great pump but you need a Hozelock 2158 connector if you want to use your hozelock pipe system to move water. Once connected up I was moving 400 lts per hour to my storage tanks over 70 meters from water butts. Pump very easy to use with auto cut of once water runs low.

Ok pump, but far from perfect
It's an ok pump, the main issues like others of this type I suspect is the poor connectivity between the pump and the hose, mine seemed to leak a lot. Then my other gripe was that it stopped pumping the water from my hot tub long before it should have in my view so it's either burnt out already or the float stopped it before it should have. So ok, but not that impressed it it. Reasonable flow rate, but like all these pumps, why can't they just work off a standard hozelock connector into a regular hosepipe? They should be able to take the pressure. Not sure when I'll try mine next to find out if it's broken or not, but most likely September. So as you might gather a standard hose won't fit this you'll need to grab something to do the job, I got a 1" flat hosepipe for 15 quid that is 10m long from Screwfix, you can also get these on Amazon of course.

Works well
Pretty much worked out of the box. I used it to transfer water from my tank farm of water butts to a new IBC about 30m away with garden hose. It was a bit slow but then I was using a pump designed for 1" hose with standard garden hose. Very little noise - just a slight hum. Some reviewers are complaining about connection issues - the manual and the product blurb on Amazon both show that you can connect a standard 1 inch garden tap hose connector. Just cut down the supplied connector to expose the 1 inch screw thread, that's what I did. As to not being available anywhere, I had 2 in my spares box! Any large garden centre likely stocks them, and if not, you can get them online: look for "Outdoor Tap Connector ø 33.3mm (1")"

Unsupported connector
Have a Hoze Lock gun with snap on connectors on a long hose pipe which was the main reason for buying a Hoze Lock pump. Very surprised to discover my Hoze Lock snap on connectors do not fit, expected better. It comes with a ¾ inch (19mm) connector that a bare hose pipe slides into, solution was to buy a short ¾ inch (19mm) internal diameter hose pipe (shortest I could find was 15m) and cut a peice off to act as a bridge. Bought a ¾ inch connector for the bridge pipe and a male to male connector to connect the bridge pipe to my 12.5mm long hose pipe. It's cost an extra £40 to get this pump to work! The pump is very quiet, the flow rate is slow and the float switch doesn't work as expected (instructions are not clear). I would of uploaded more videos but can only upload one, water is leaking out of the unit (seal issue?) also leaks on the opposite side. Should I return?

You need to supply the reducer.
You supply an item which needs a peace of reducer from 20mm to 15mm clearly shown on the box but don't tell about it when it is purchased and also you can't get the reducer needed I had to impravise and make something in that respect I don't rate the supplier
