"Culture is not your friend."These books are important documents bringing forward to all the data that was not simply ignored, but actively suppressed by the minions we elect to positions of power. We really need to force politicians to take IQ tests before they are given the power to deprive free people of entheogens or anything else supposedly free people may choose to study or use.These wonderfully produced and edited books are part of the record of the crimes committed. Not just now but generations from now, these documents will be treasured for this and, of course, for their fascinating content.

A lot of work went into making this amazing collection. Not what I was looking for though.

... of writings by the topic's most revered experts. An absolutely lovely edition which offers an assemble of this much scattered knowledge. A real beauty on the bookshelf as well!

Have not even bothered to read the content yet, but would assume is 5 star content (revised this, see end).My issue is the images, which are all black & white, and especially when it comes to photographic images they are of a poor quality because [?] of the type of paper used (mat - which may be of descent quality but totally unsuited for photographic images). I would describe the images as those of a newspaper level. Even a 'Pie Chart' contained within has a title within a section that is essentially impossible to read. All this after a quick survey of the books. Very disappointing, considering the cost of the books. I can see why the publisher (Synergetic Press) did not show any content images, though the Book Case Cover which holds the books is done in colour (make of that what you will).I now rate the content of the Book 2 (modern) as 2. The information could most likely be gleaned from internet searches & offer nothing truly innovative or compelling, apart from perhaps the African plant discovery which have commercialized products with the native users/community benefiting financially (by law) for that discovery (wonderful change, instead of just having pharmaceutical companies alone exploiting native knowledge of plants for themselves).For me this is a very expensive purchase that in no way justifies the cost & am surprised at the high ratings given by the other reviewers here (7 reviews as of 15/01/2020, one 4 star & six 5 star).

Les deux volumes achetés présentent le résultat de recherches pharmacologiques de façon très détaillée et bien vulgarisée. Les deux livres sont vendus dans un coffret de collection fait de carton rigide et plastifié, très esthétique. Le seul point négatif est le prix un peu trop élevé, considérant que toutes les pages sont en noir et blanc, et aucune image n'est imprimée en couleur.

Looks nice and appealing on the outside but the texts, graphics, and writing style is very old. graphics are all black and white. the writing style makes me not want to read it.
