Readings differ even in the same spot

The readings are off. We tried it in the same plant in the same place and got to drastically different readings. Tried a different meter at the same spot and got a reading in-between the readings this took.

Garbage don't waste your time

This thing was done right out the box!! It never worked! Fresh watering of the plants and it reads 35% moisture. Are you kidding me!!!!
