Wonderful resource, helped me get 176 LSAT first time!
This is an excellent LSAT prep book! When I bought it in March 2023, I had just signed up for the June 2023 LSAT and had no idea what the format of the LSAT was or how to practice. This book really is a one stop shop for all of the explanations that you need to succeed on the LSAT. On my first practice test I got a 166, but after going through all of the content in the book, I was consistently scoring between 173-178 on practice tests. One thing that I really appreciate about the book is that the author really focuses on having to build you skills and being able to trust your instincts so that you can perform on test day. I feel that this was the perfect resource for me and am very happy with my score of 176. One thing to note is that this book does not contain any full practice exams and has a limited number of drills. There are of course the 4 free tests offered through LawHub, which he does mention. My recommendation is to also make a free Khan Academy account and to use that in conjunction with this book. They have 13 full practice tests with explanations of all of the answers after you complete the test. They also have practice questions for each different kind of question.

Want to conquer the LSAT? Get this book!
I have been through a number of LSAT materials including that of material from Manhattan LSAT, BlueprintPrep, Princeton Review, Kaplan and Top-Law-Schools.com (TLS) guides as I prepare for my study of the LSAT examination, the most crucial component of law school admissions. I was set on utilizing the material of both Manhattan and Blueprint for my prep but realized I needed to tie some loose ends to effectively master the LSAT. This is how I came across Mike Kim's LSAT Trainer and it has been my best purchase to date! I jumped on the opportunity to purchase this book as I first met Mike Kim as my MLSAT online instructor back in 2011. He was a wonderful teacher and figured his book would reflect same and it did! The LSAT Trainer, unlike so many other materials out there, gets straight to the "meat" of mastering the LSAT. It effectively fleshes out each type of LR question and game type, offering bullet point summaries of how to effectively approach each component of the exam and thorough drills in each chapter to help hone in on what you learn. The LSAT Trainer challenges you and leaves little room for laziness. It is worth its weight in gold and has helped me considerably in how I approach each question type, game type and reading comprehension passage. Without a doubt this book is necessary for any and all LSAT students, whether you are self-studying or taking a course. This book is also great as a supplement to an LSAT course but in my humblest opinion, is all you will need to get the job done if you want to learn how to think like the makers of the LSAT. Thanks Mike Kim for creating this guide. It has helped me realize that this test is conquerable with a little hard work and diligent training ! Through your book I have been able to increase my score by 5 points in as little as one month. This is coming from someone who started out at a 139, was plateauing around a 155-159 after taking a course and am now in the 165 range. With a little under 3 months to go, I am confident your guide will help get me closer to my goal of 170+!
