Small enough to pop in a pocket .. with fantastic accuracy!
Gone are the days of carrying around a large tape measure. This picket sized piece of tech is superb. Not only can you measure the length of a room, but you can do a cube measurement too.It has a built in level so you can make sure your readings are accurate. It comes with a handy wrist strap and a belt case too. Even has the batteries so ready to go out of the box!

Superb for the value!!!
Accurate and easy to use to measure from A to c, square footage or volume.Has a continuous measurement. I've used this once or trice to position something at the right distance.Another handy feature is summing up consecutive measurements.I haven't used the rest of the featuresThe spirit level is pretty accurate

Good value for general measurement but calibrate first
Simple to operate. Useful area & volume calculator. Not sure that angular measurements are that easy. Haven’t tested operation outside in sunshine yet. There are a few products in this price range all offering similar features, so the real test will be how well it lasts over a period of time. Checked the accuracy indoors at 1m intervals up to 5m against light and dark surfaces and unit was consistently measuring between 4-5mm too much. Following calibration, the unit performs to c1mm over 5m distance This is adequate for most jobs but I wouldn’t rely on it for close tolerance measurements.

Surprised at how good it is
The 40m version. I did think of upping to the 60m verssion, but thought I will not use it outside as as the laser had the same power, the 40m version suited me.This is my first day: I have not yet read the instructions, the amazon description showed most of what you need.Accuracy - I have a sonic measure which is not very accurate and never sure if the laser pointer was pointing to the same place that the sound waves bounced off.I tried indoors and out. For accuracy I rested the laser on a 1 meter metal rule against the wall. I lined up both the front measure and the back measure and both reliably measured to one millimeter. at 0.5M it was about 3mm out - still quite acceptable. I saw that it had an electronic level - no bubbles! The display always shows the angle the laser is pointing to. I was blown away how sensitive it worked in all plains, this made it extremely accurate to know you are measuring level or a particular angle. First press is power on, you can then select front or back measurements, or imperial or metric, though I don't use imperial.Second press the laser 'dot' to line up where you are measuring to,Third press takes the reading. There is a 30 item memory (push save button for 3 seconds for each saved reading) which is very useful if you are taking several measurements. Remember to turn off memory before using the clear button! Area, (ideal for painting calculation etc) volume and angles are built in. Dead easy to find the rise of a stair case or even a roof - if it is not bright sunshine (like most lasers not easy in sunlight or it would be dangerously strong.)I can't see how a measure three or four times the price could do more.I took a chance and I am delilghted it was as good as descibed.

A lot more than the money it costs
I thought for a cheap measuring device it wouldn't be as good as it is.Measurement is pretty spot on. All functions are easy to use and you won't need to read the instructions before you use it, it is that easy.I like it and use it all the time now I have compared it against measurements made with a tape measure and have confidence it's accurate.

For what it is, not bad at all
You never know the accuracy with things like this and ease of use. For basic out of the box operation, its point and shoot. But you can get more indepth. I haven't needed too.My only gripe is that in strong daylight, there is no way you'll see the laser dot at distance. Short distances are fine but its something to bare in mind.Works well though.

Great value, easy to calibrate, very accurate.
Great little measuring tool. I have seen tradesmen using laser measures in the past but not until I was trying to measure the inside dimensions of a window, and struggling to get an accurate measurement with a steel rule/tape did I consider getting one. This was a couple of mm out, but followed the instructions to calibrate it, using a known distance - I used the inside dimension a double wardrobe drawer for convenience - it was easily adjusted and now I have a very accurate tool for all my future needs.

Accurate!
I like it. I have only used it few times today and I found it is very accurate so far . I will update my review after two weeks or so . I am a carpenter and I will be using it almost every day. Therefore it won’t take me long time to find out if it is really accurate and worth keeping it in my toolbox.
