NEW KID ON THE BLOCK
I was looking for a powerful blender to make smoothies in particular but also be versatile enough to do other tasks such as make nut flour.. Firstly I was looking at the Ninja Compact Kitchen System with Nutri Ninja 1200W – BL490UK2 (with Chute) which at the time was on Amazon Prime day sale for just under £100 but I liked the look of the Hanno blender and as I already have a Ninja Professional 900W I didn't really want to partially replicate what I already had. At the time of purchase there were no reviews but SpringLane Kitchen had a £10 dicount promotion bringing to under £90 so I decided to take the chance.Well it certainly looks the part with a powerful 2000W motor and a large 2L capacity jug. I also like the fact that it has a metal construction for the blade drive but not sure what the corresponding part on top of the motor unit is made of ,possibly plastic, so may be subject to wear. Only time will tell.As for performance I have to say it certainly does the job of creating lovely smoothies using frozen ingredients I just use the ice crushing function initially followed by the smoothie function. The first couple of times I used it I was a little concerned at the 'electrical ' smell of the motor running but I think it's just because its new rather than an overheating problem.I would also like to point out one thing that isn't shown on their lovely promotional video and that is the difficulty of fitting and removing the lid which is held onto the jug by a rubber gasget seal. It takes considerable force to press the lid fully down sufficiently to engage the small plstic spigot with the safety interlock. It is even worse when trying to remove the lid after blending , I have to hold the jug next to my body and gradually work the lid off by applying leverage from differnt angles until the lid finally slips off. I can see that said spigot is likely to come a cropper at some point if insufficient care is taken. Maybe in time the gasket seal will give a little making it easier to fit and remove the lid but as the lid is not a twist and lock type it needs to fit firmly enough so as not to blow off during use.I actually enjoy listening to the sound of the blender operate , it's powerful motor gets pretty loud but not in an irritating way it's kinda smooth just like the contents of the jug !

Well worth the money, satisfied customer.
Ibrought this for my elderly father works perfect does everything he needs.Only problem the lid is so tight once on it could be difficult for elderly people who have weak hands as it took the 2 of us to try opening it which thrn endded up with dad snapped the end piece under the lid....grear start. Be mindful apart from that a VERY excellent kitchen aid.

Lid clip broke on first try. Poor lid material/design
The clip attached to the lid broke on first use! The lid material is a hard brittle plastic which does not appear to be the right choice for a part that needs to be pulled away. Please note the I followed the instructions carefully (first removing the jug before lifting off the lid). There is no way to get in contact directly with the seller to ask for a replacement part. ( I cannot use the blender until a replacement part is sent!)Blender is very powerful but now can not be used due to the broken clip. Very disappointing.Ps there is no way of contacting the seller thus I was forced to write this review in the hope that they get in contact with me

Vortex into hell
I love this blender it was probably the most powerful blender I've owned. The touch screen feature makes it easier to keep clean. The clean function also adds to the simplicity of the cleaning. The power of the blender is incredible, when using the manual mode it will pulp anything. On maximum it looks like a vortex into hell. No chunk is getting past that blade. However I had to return my blender after the plastic/ceramix tip of the drive shaft shattered at full speed.

It is a beast yes but...
It is a beast yes but the cup is extremely hard to pull out once you wedge it in. It is hard to wedge it as well. I am 100kg and I am very strong for my weight. I don't know how an ordinary person will deal with this cup design flaw. The cup also has some overflow holes and the mixture is flowing out. It is extremely hard to clean the blender once you have this accident. The jug can go into the dishwasher but the base is heavy bulky and not water-resistant and it is a chore to clean the base. I tried the ice crusher which is useless it produces snow not crushed ice.the second security feature on the lid broke stright from day oneThe measuring jug has wrong measuring lines the 400 ml is actually 450 one cup is 270 mls.In a nutshell, It is an extremely powerful motor that could power a moped inside a cheap casing which has a good design. The jug I am not sure if it has the right chamber shape to optimise the mixing flows of the various viscosities.I would say as an analogy it is a bicycle fitted with a powerful 250 cc motor there is extreme power but the end product is not good.

I had to return it as the engine blew on me while I was making a smoothie
As the title says I had to return it as the engine blew on me while I was making a smoothie. What should have been the most amazing blender ever must have had some sort of faulty engine as it did not last more than 3 minutes. I was actually making a video for my Youtube channel and It happened on the camera.Too bad... I was so excited about it... Let's be honest, the specs are amazing and this baby is a real monster.I'm pretty sure it's powerful enough to blend bricks and concrete with it if you were crazy enough to try it.35000 revs per minute, 2.7 HP??!!Not sure the people realize that but Mercedes Benz used to power cars with engines of 0.75-hp.This blender had 2.7.HP !!!Unfortunately it had the shortest life ever, which is sad because I really wanted this blender to work out.I had to return it and now I am waiting for my refund.

powerful
i have tried other machines that always failed the kale test, and this one liquidizes kale, it liquidizes everything which is great for me. it's main use in my kitchen is smoothie type drinks and it is great. It is very noisy, and on it's highest power sounds like it is going to take off, and on the highest power power after only a few seconds the motor starts to emit a burning like smell, not sure whether to be worried by this, but i've had my blender a couple of months now and overall i'm happy with it, and would recommend it.
