Fine Irish Whiskey
One of the best Irish whiskeys about at this price point, smooth and beautiful, hard to beat at this price

Well rounded Irish whiskey
Lovely stuff. No harsh burn and a great after taste. Price is creeping up though.

Better than Jameson's !!
I've been working my way through Irish whiskeys recently and my favourite by a longshot was Jameson's until I tried Redbreast 12 as it's even sweeter & just as smooth yet less dense (kind of like comparing a smooth and creamy pint of Guinness in England to a smooth and silky pint of Guinness in Dublin) and here's my own rankings of the tastiest Irish whiskeys I've tried upto now 1: Redbreast 12. 2: Jameson's. 3: Powers Gold Label Distillers Cut. 4: Tullamore Dew. 5: Powers Gold Label. 6. Bushmills. 7. The Irishman. Yet to try Connacht, Blue Spot, Yellow Spot & Green Spot whiskeys but Redbreast is so tasty it's difficult to try others compared to how disappointed I was with the 40% Powers Gold Label.

Greatness
I had my eye on this for some time. It comes with great reviews and the price never really goes down very much. Testament to a whiskey that doesn't need to discount. Eventually I bought a bottle and I'm so glad I did. Although my whisky tends to err towards single malt scotch, I do love an Irish whiskey. Jamesons has always been a favourite but wanted something more elevated. THIS IS IT. Superbly smooth, festive, sweet and spicy. This has jumped up to my top three and is worth every penny.Nose: spice and nuts but a slight fruity freshness, I want to say almost fresh cut fir tree.Pallate: Nuts become sweeter almost nougat. Dried glacé fruits and peel come through, Oloroso sherry influence.Finish: Long and rich, almost creamy, like egg nog or a custard tart.A must try for Irish whiskey fans and die hard scotch fans alike.

Excellent Whiskey But Presentation Box Poor
I purchased this Redbreast Irish whiskey after researching it and reading lots of positive reviews. It’s not a cheap whiskey but I got it for my son’s recent birthday. He loves it, but it arrived at my house with the presentation box open and the corners damaged, not damaged from transit to me via Amazon but poor handling prior. I hope the whiskey company looks into packaging the box better so it arrives perfect, I note I’m not the only one to get a damaged box. The whiskey bottle itself is perfect. The contents I’m told are ideal for sipping on a chilly evening by the fire, it’s a smooth quality whiskey my son appreciates as a collector of good Irish whiskey. 4 stars though for the poor presentation gift box which spoils the quality when gifting.
