COGAT Trainer: for Cognitive Abilities Test Grade 7 & 8 (Level 13 & 14)

I think this workbook is a great resource for test preparation. This book is good for both 7th and 8th-grade GT students. This book has nearly 200 pages of content. The material within the book covers all kinds of COGAT test question types.As a parent, I appreciate the explanations and tips that are included in this workbook. I think this workbook is decent, although it doesn’t quite provide enough practice. We decided to use an educational website called Beestar for extra support. They offer several subjects that are full of engaging content, which many students happen to enjoy. They also have a Gifted and Talented program to help your student prepare for their upcoming exam. I would propose this website to any parent searching for quality learning tools along with solid study guides like this one.

There are math errors, and repeated questions (identical).

This was good until the numerical sequence section where there are multiple incorrect answers (identical patterns with identical wrong answers). Would be better if the answer key explained why something was the answer.

My daughter is doing well going through the questions and there seems to be a good mix to challenge her. I wish there was a bit more explanation and examples before she starts the questions.

A student cannot self study, and a parent does not receive the insights to help the student. Answers are 15 pages further on and explanations are in another part of the book all together. One extra star for plenty of test questing examples.
