Cameras dont work
The camera does not function as well as other cameras I have used. The camera is not reliable and has issues often. We have 2 cameras and both have the same issues.

Good video quality and solid build
I've had various dash cameras in my car for years now and wanted to have on my bike as well. After doing a lot of research this had the best features for the price.First thing I noticed out of the box was the build quality. You'll notice a lot of cheap chinese cameras are lightweight and built out of all plastic, but the C5 has a heavy feel to it, with the camera lens and the main box are housed in a solid metal case.Overall the instructions were pretty straight forward, with color picturesI've only had this on my bike for a few days now, but am happy with the video quality and overall performance.I would highly recommend anyone wanting a dash cam for their bike to get the capacitor version (this one) over a battery one. Batteries can be problematic over time in the heat and weather, where as a capacitor one does not have those issues.

Compact system, firmware update issue, lack of support
Nice, compact design and easy to install. However, I cannot get it to update to the latest firmware using the procedure they recommend. Every time I add the firmware file to root of the SD card, the unit doesn't appear to "boot up" (e.g. no flashing lights, etc). If I remove the firmware update file, it seems to boot normally. Contacted support through their site and no response yet and their forums appear to be all but dead. I've tried 4 different memory cards of various sized and manufacturers (including approved ones).I have not taken it out on the bike as the weather here is still too cold but if I can't get this resolved, it will go back. The app nags me to update the firmware every time it's opened. I'm not sure what the new firmware updates/fixes but firmware updates are usually fairly important so I'm not willing to go on without it for the cost. I'll just go back to a GoPro.

All in all a very good system. Works great with a Samsung PRO Endurance 128 gigsd card. Wifi connects quick and reliably. Streaming from device to phone stutters somewhat, but uploads to phone works well and you can upload up to 3 files at a time. Unit runs quite warm, but no problems so far after about 10-12 hours of recording. DVR is located in my dash side pocket on my 2013 GL1800 and camera on a bracket on my Madstat windshield. Video is easy to review on a PC with no special software needed for video files. Audio is very poor inside cubby with rubber cover over microphone. To me, day and night video quality is good, but I don't have much to compare it. Already have lots of deer shots from my early morning commutes. About the camera mount, the one negative thing about the package. The mount is a plastic snap ring with a threaded brass insert. The ring will not hold the camera snug enough to prevent rotation and the single screw in the insert can allow the mount to also rotate. I discarded the supplied mount and modified an iphone bicycle mount to bolt to my bracket. The camera diameter is about the size of a bicycle handlebar so it's rubberlined clamp worked, just had to drill out base to allow for a bolt for bracket. I may buy one of these for my truck.
