Very Good. Some things you should know...
I am going to share my long journey of hot glue gun research. Sounds weird, but working with paper and detailed paper models requires a decent glue gun. Iv'e tried quite a few so far. The first gun was the Surebonder mini 195-F. I picked it for the small size and small tip. It did a good job, the stand was crappy and kept falling off, but it worked as good as I needed it to. I completed the head section of a project with no issues. the problem with the stand on the mini, is it is plastic, and falls right off. This resulted in the gun falling off my desk, and breaking the tip, so now, i had to get a anew glue gun only weeks after purchasing. I was mad, so I ventured off to get another gun. For my 2nd gun, I picked the Gorilla Glue hot glue gun. Never knew they made hot glue guns, but hey, their glue is great so what could go wrong? I very quickly learned what makes a 'good hot glue gun'. The trigger was unpredictable, it clogged, back flowed, leaked, and heat was very inconsistent. It was garbage, and I returned it. Next glue gun was the SureBonder DT-360F. When i received it, it was bigger than I expected (I intended to order a new mini). The tip opening was too big. I fired up the broken glue gun (surebonder mini) and limped by, and tried the Gorilla Glue sticks, it made a huge mess. If i held the glue gun vertical, the glue would pour out the tip. The gorilla glue sticks were garbage and not high temp as advertised. Those were returned as well. I ordered the replacement tips for the large SureBonder, and the proper glue sticks and suddenly i was in gluing bliss (as if something like that could exist). I am now on my 2nd gun. the first one failed due to my own negligence and looking forward to receiving the replacement. So here is what makes this gun good: - Replacement tips mean no replacing the whole gun if you drop it - It has an 'ok' stand - heat temp is consistent, so the application is predictable. - Replacement tip means versatility, large opening or small, flat, etc, its up to you. - No glue clogs - Trigger action starts as soon as the trigger is pressed, there is no 'dead zone' where the glue unpredictably pours out - has some heft to it and dual temps for different glue types Closing notes - Glue matters... A lot. If you are experiencing leakage etc, you may be using the wrong glue. Some manufactures make glue that is best rated for their gun and temps. This really makes a difference. Get a gun where you know you can source the glue in bulk easily and for cheap. If the glue is too runny, it may not be a good match for the gun. This makes all the difference for detail work. Also, the more glue you apply, the hotter it is, since heat capacity is dependent on mass (thermal mass) the more mass (glue), the more heat energy it stores, and for longer. This makes a difference for how much time you want to have to maneuver pieces or if you decide to push down on a blob with your finger or not. Good luck, and enjoy!

Nicely made
Great glue gun, small tip great for targeting just the right spot. Love the auto shut off when the gun sits for too long.

Disappointing temperature
Works well but falls 130° below. Its advertised high temperature only reaches 230°. My laser guided temperature sensor is accurate. So if you’re planning on doing heavier duty projects which will need higher temperatures for the 60 W unit will not do it. I get a dual temperature 60/100 what unit instead and not this brand since it can’t even reach max temperature on a small unit.

Not a Hot Glue Gun for Beginners
1. This is an amazing hot glue gun. It heats really well and is constructed well. It does not seem like it will fall apart any time soon. I was so pleased with it that I bought my sister one too. 2. This is NOT a hot glue gun for beginners. I’ve been crafting and using hot glue guns for 35+ years. Today I burned my fingers on this hot glue gun so bad that my fingers blistered. The temperature on the low setting is 220. I don’t know when I will need a temperature that hot, so I’m now on a search to find a different glue gun.

Turns solid glue sticks to well not solid
Works as intended i forgot to turn off my hot glue gun in the past and thats pretty dangerous so this gives me a bit of peace if I do that again. Does take a bit to get warmed up to functioning use but just make a coffee or a tea while its doing its thing. You trying to start a project with no caffeine anyway?

Very pretty, but too light to be a paperweight
Unit got hot, glue never came out. Waste of time and money. Too late to return it, so it's going into the garbage.

Much faster than 40w 20 year old craftsman it replaced
Seems good. Better flow and faster heat up than the 20 year old craftsman I was using. I got it because the lack of an auto shut off on the old one feels unsafe to me. I love that there is a light as well. I just wish it had an on/off switch. I was worried I might need the $30, 100 watt surebonder glue gun but this seems to provide a very healthy flow of glue and maintains heat well, I don't see myself needing more than this. I feel the gun could have more weight and a more stable base. You can use it cordless for up to 5 minutes if you let it get hot first.

Amazon.de sells an item that come to Europe from the States and is by all means a product meant for the US market. I just paid import tax that I didn't notice I was going to pay because I ordered it from Amazon.de. The voltage is 120v which is not working in the EU or at least UK and CY which uses 240v system.

Item is 110v and as such unsuitable for UK or Europe without buying a 240v - 110v transformer. This information wasn't shown on the listing or the photo of the packaging. Seller only prepared to refund if I paid for return postage, something I was not prepared to do. Fortunately Amazon A-Z refund system gave me a refund, thanks Amazon!

Passing from a dollar store glue gun to this, it's like heaven. Having an on/off switch is wonderful.

Well, before ordering this unit, I carefully tried to read all the details from the package, in the hope that any product specifics would stick out, an for me, be able to make the right desicion, whether bying it or not... Apparently, this product is so badly described from the retail store, that I failed to know, that this unit is made for the 120 voltage market, and, furthermore, I had to guess , which size, the glue sticks it uses - and I guessed wrong... This device is for the 120 voltage market (USA) and not for the European 230 voltage - I had to buy a transformer, which cost more than the device itself (kr. 250 dkk) - and now I have to buy another load of glue sticks, in the correct 11 mm diameter. Be very much aware of these specifications when deciding to buy or not - also, the retailer and the company should do more to inform people, writing the info on the package.
