I purchased the item for my personal needs- logging my daily reminders, appointments, taking notes or making sketches. Pros The look impresses me. It is hard-bound making the content safely protected. I really love the color and the smooth texture of the cover. Although it is made of PU leather, it doesn't have the smell of polyurethane. Though a little short of the 8x11 measurement, it is just the right size for me. The date is blank, making it more useful unlike other journals with fixed dates. With this, I will be able to extend its functionality for more than a year or so. The paper is smooth with about 256 pages. It is made from recycled materials which are great. This is also a good journal for businessmen because of the many statistical and conversion data found on the first 10 pages. Cons There are a lot of pieces of information in Chinese characters which I find unnecessary for people like me who are not into business. I hope the manufacturer would consider changing those for markets outside China. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and would recommend it.

This looks nice and professional. It exceeds my expectations. It is well made I would describe it as an executive notebook. A wonderful gift if you want to give someone something nice and you don't want them to know you spent less than $20. Put it in a nice gift box and they'll think you paid at least twice what you actually spent. I've bought 2 in blue. The only down side is that they are almost too nice to use, lol. Especially if you're a notebook person like I am. I keep saving them for a special occasion. The makers anticipated that though because they come in a durable plastic bag with a zipper to keep it from getting dusty and to prevent mites from getting in them.

This is the sixth journal I have ordered in the last 2 years. I journal every day and filled 3 last year and plan on filling the three I ordered this year too! They are sturdy, attractive, the pages are smooth, lined and nice to write on. They have a ribbon to keep your place and the size is nice too, a bit larger than most journals.

I AM very satisfied with the quality of the notebook. The cover feels amazing and the paper is smooth and over 200 pages (it's not easy to find a good 8 1/2 x 11 notebook with more than 200 pages). However, I took one star off because of the unnecessary 10 pages material. In a world full of cell phones and the Internet, I believe even the people who travel to China do not really need to open the notebook to check that information. I do hope the company can get rid of those 10 pages. Other than that, it is a notebook with very good quality.

This is a very high quality notebook. I am a project manager and I use this for all day for all of my business notes. It is nice to write on with good line spacing. It is a cream color and not stark white. I use highlighters and different color pens and nothing bleeds through. When you open it, the pages lie flat. All in all, I am very pleased.

I use this notebook as my work journal for hand written notes. Everything I do for work is on the laptop - but when I want to keep my daily log of written notes, goals and to dos this is where it goes. I am quite happy. Looks very professional and clean. Well it started out that way. Could be used in an interview. It came in a beautiful black - I got bored one day during quarantine and painted flowers on it. Don’t judge they make it look unique 😊. The notebook is sturdy and the pages feel great. I see there is a reference to it being leather in the description. I can’t confirm or deny whether the cover is a cowhide leather - it smells like like leather, not vinyl/plastic, but there is not a grain or leather texture to it. It is completely smooth. This is a beautiful binder nonetheless, so the actual cover material appears to be sturdy/durable whatever it is made of and it isn’t a deal breaker for me. Again, very happy with my new binder and I will get a new one when this one is worn out! ❤️😊

I really like this notebook. The cover is sturdy and well made. The pages are thick, keeping the ink from bleeding through. I had read some of the reviews prior to purchasing that said there was Chinese in the front pages. Mine has 3 pages of useful information but no Chinese. Which I was kind of looking forward to since I have been studying Chinese. I am very happy with this purchase.

Update 7-7-20: The company contacted me after this review. They were very helpful and sent me a new notebook. It looks great and very sturdy. I will begin using it and update again after use but adding stars back just because of the great service so far!! Original review: This fell apart after just 2 weeks of mild use. It was beautiful until that happened.

Per the above picture, this happened in less than a week of owning the journal. Now yes the journal had a small fall from about 3 ft. and completely detached from the binding. I will return to my tried and true Peter Pauper Press for further journals.
