After the v1.3 firmware there is no overheating issues, AF is faster, and we got MP4 lite codec. Best Camera for this price for sure.

The images coming out of this camera are crispy but it does lack some key features like low light auto focus capabilities, lack of slo-mo open gate (I just want 4k), lack of lenes and lack of dedicated accessories. Oh and the focus peaking absolutely sucks on this camera.

This camera does it all. Amazing auto focus, super fast write speeds, every codec you could ever want do video and some of the most beautiful colors I’ve seen out of camera in a long time.

It was purchased on Amazon. I haven't even taken my first picture with the camera yet, but I've already discovered an issue that requires repair. Based on my inspection, I've found that the transparent dust seal/membrane, which is located directly in front of the sensor on my Lumix S1R II, has come loose/dislodged. This is causing a shadow or vignetting on my images. Regardless of whether it's called a 'dust seal' or a 'calibration shim,' the repair issue remains the same: the part has shifted and is now obstructing the light. The necessary solution is to correctly re-seat/reinstall this component.

Cool camera and features, but it really has a problem with over heating. I think mine might have been a dud, as it would over heat and shut down within 2 minutes of putting into video mode.

Fits my S1RII quite snug and helps with overheating a ton. No overheat problems using the Panasonic USB C battery adapter inside of this w/ no battery inside the S1Rii itself. The shutter / autofocus / joystick button feel as quality as the ones on my S1Rii. No third party option so this is what you’ll have to get.

Videos are this camera’s strength, but the photos are spectacular too! Wicked fast auto focus, incredible low-light performance, and intuitive controls. This camera, as my first professional camera, happens to be my dream camera. My videos have gone completely cinematic with this beast of a camera.

This camera is better than expected. Purchased for my son who is a professional photographer in Puerto Rico. His photography and videography’s quality has improved greatly, he’s always had lumix but said he’s impressed with how much better the AF is over his other ones. Overall great purchase!
