Bought these root cuttings in hopes that I could grow my own comfrey. Arrived in perfect condition and nicely packaged. Also included was an instruction sheet as to how to store and or plant them. I decided to try half of them indoors during December and wait to plant the other half outdoors after our last frost. To my surprise the ones that I planted in pots emerged within 2 weeks and are growing fast. Picture included. I have no doubt that the other cuttings will grow as well and as fast as these have. I received 5 crowns and a couple spare root only cuttings as a bonus. Planted the crowns into individual 2 gallon containers and all 5 launched into healthy fast growth and are now (17 days from planting) 8 inches tall 14 inches wide and putting on lush dark green vibrant growth daily. If you're on the fence, just order them. You'll have a healthy reproductive patch ready to fill out your garden in no time. Day 17 and the bonus root transplants have yet to emerge but knowing Comfrey growth proclivities I have zero doubt they will. Crowns however are the cheat code.

20250121 Ah, NICE! All roots received visibly healthy and growing. Started each in its own indoor container and plan to transplant them outside after acclimating them in a cold frame, of course, and the threat of frost has passed. 20260203

I highly recommend this seller. I received more than I paid for, and the roots were nice and healthy. If these don't grow, it's all my fault :). They included a hand written invoice, which I thought was very nice. They also included a set of very detailed instructions on how to plant the roots for the best chance of success.

This is my second purchase from this seller. The cuttings rooted and came up beautifully. I only had to purchase more because my goats got into my first patch and ate it all. 🤦‍♀️. Very easy to grow. Lots of cuttings for the price.

All rootstock delivered grew within 3 weeks of receipt with very little effort in some seed starter soil. (Even the extra pieces! Thank you so much!) The seller gave very good, easy to follow instructions so I had no difficulties getting the rootstock to start. I planted them the day after I got them and left them in my greenhouse to start. All appear healthy, but none are large enough to have flowers yet. I am so looking forward to seeing them come up next spring with flowers, but with no viable seeds. I intend to use the leaves for compost for my fruit trees, but did not want the invasive comfrey. Would absolutely recommend this vendor!
