The San Francisco Giants: 50 Years

This product came very well wrapped, wrapped twice in fact and somehow the pages and outter book came damaged, seems as though I got a returned product or something. With this being a collectible of sorts, wouldn’t recommend buying.

Great book as far as SF Giants history goes ! Sure, it's a bit dated, since the team has been in the City by the Bay well past the 50 year mark, but who cares ? Quite heavy, it's loaded with info and photos, and any Giants fan who gets this book should be occupied for hours absorbing what's here, and happy to do so, it's that much of a treat for all those who follow the orange and black.

A story of the first 50 years of the SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS is of interest to any baseball fans.The book is filled with pictures of the players over the years but also stories and anecdotes that are fun to read.Team photos from all those years, so if you remember a player in particular,you will find him.This a must for any GIANTS fans and makes a great compagnon with HOME TEAM:THE TURBULENT HISTORY OF THE SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS,another good book.BRIAN MURPHY did not need a fence to hit a home run.

Brian; l had difficulty in obtaining a copy of your very informative & entertaining book on the fifty years of the SF giants. I've been a fan of the Giants since 1947 and was thrilled when they move to SF. How old am I? The "SAY HEY Kid" my baseball hero is only months older. the only thing i would like you to do is publish an addendum show the giants history between WWII and SF.I listen to KNBR680 daily"Ole man Bob" Antioch,Ca.Great Job!

although a little pricey. great gift for a super big Giants fan

I'm enjoying reading this book--it's not just about the photographs! I particularly enjoyed the background stories of Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow, and Jon Miller, and how the Giants went through the Candlestick "experience" until new owners got AT&T Park built with private financing. I have not followed Giants players' averages, etc., through the years, but this book helps me understand more of the history of the S.F. Giants, which is what I wanted.

If your a loyal S.F. Giants lover, you'll need to get this fantastic history book. (with simply great pictures) It covers the Giants days at the old S.F. Seals ball park at 16th and Bryant. I use to get there on the Muni for I think 5 or 10 cents each way. But more than a fan gem, it covers the Giants MLB history like no other book. A great gift, should be displayed on a coffee table etc., etc.

This was a gift for a special friend whose late father was a Giants fan. It looked like a very nice book, and she was pleased to have it.
