A Good Film...
*No Spoilers *This was a good film. I was having trouble finding a decent romance film and so many films have hidden cancer tragedies within them. I though that I would tackle the cancer theme head on, with this offering. At least you know what you are getting into. The film starts off well, the writing is good, the acting is of a high standard and the story is also well told. There are a couple of twists and turns along the way. All of which I understand and all of which enhanced the story and your understanding of how different people cope with tragedy.I did however feel that the film lost something when the young male lead makes a confession to his girlfriend. I am struggling to put my finger on why that left me feeling deflated for the rest of the film, as I had already guessed, what he told her.Anyhow, it is definitely worth a watch and see how you feel about it.The story is of course, very emotional from the start. And depending on your own experiences, it will touch each of us, in a slightly different way.As an aside and since it is used in the film...Living with treatable but incurable cancer, as I do, I can tell you that someone describing what you are going through as a "journey", is condescending and not helpful in the slightest. A journey is from London to Glasgow, America to Amsterdam or even popping down to the coast, for a day. What it most certainly is not, is living with cancer. On the flip side, the "gift" of cancer, is seeing the most remarkable beauty, in the most mundane, everyday occurrences and being grateful for having had the opportunity to witness them.Raindrops running down a window pane. Bees flitting from flower to flower. How comforting and cosy, your bed feels, on a winters morning.Enjoy the film.I do not receive any payment or free goods for writing these reviews. I am just happy to share my views on my purchases with fellow like minded Amazonians in the hope that you may find it helpful.

Lovely adaptation
I am a firm believer in not seeing a film based on a book until I've read the book and The Fault in Our Stars was no different. The book itself is fantastic. The film, was really good. At first I didn't feel as if Hazel and Gus had been well cast, however the two actors on screen chemistry soon changes that and I now couldn't imagine anyone else in the roles. The film is raw and heartfelt and, whether or not it's deliberate, puts you in Hazel's shoes. I shed more than a few tears even though, having read the book, I knew what was coming. The film does miss out certain chunks of the book, which is to be expected I suppose due to time constraints but it did make me feel as if a little something was missing. The characters are all played well, with their personalities coming through exactly how you would imagine them to be and I think Laura Dern's character of Hazel's mother is definitely underrated.I'm glad I saw this film finally however I must say I'm glad I didn't see it at the cinema - I don't feel it warranted a round trip and expensive cinema tickets to see.It really is a beautiful story and will make you think, "what if that was me?" But it will only ever get 4 stars from me as the book was simply flawless. If you read the book you'll like the film. If you've not read the book and have nothing to compare it too, you'll love it.

Emotional Film
An amazing love story not to be viewed when you have just heard that your sister has only got weeks to live.

A Little Infinity
Based on the hugely successful novel by John Greene The Fault In Our Stars follows the story of two teenagers, Hazel and Gus, who meet at a cancer support group. Initially I was wary of the emotional minefield ahead but The Fault In Our Stars is more than just a cancer story. Yes, the story is heartbreaking but it is also expertly shot and utterly captivating. The Fault In Our Stars is a faithful adaptation of the beloved book with a stellar cast, fantastic soundtrack & loveable characters that linger long after the story ends. The Fault In Our Stars is a story of life, love and friendship that asks tough questions about how you will be remembered. I thoroughly recommend it.Notes on the 2 Disc Little Infinities Edition (1 x Bluray + 1 x DVD + Digital HD UV):This edition includes the standard edition of the film and a slightly extended version which adds a few extra scenes between Gus, Hazel and Hazel's Mum without dragging out the film. The enclosed extras include 4 art cards and 4 bookmarks with scenes and quotes from the film.Features:Standard Feature (Audio Commentary by Josh Broone & John Greene)Extended Feature (Audio Commentary by Josh Broone & John Greene)Deleted Scenes (with optional commentary by Josh Broone & John Greene)The Stars AlignScribe on SetOur Little InfinityThe Music Behind Our StarsStills GalleryTheatrical Trailer

Amazing product
I got the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital edition. It was advertised as used but when it arrived it was still sealed, so it was new. The digital code 'expired' in 2017 but I tried it and it still worked. The movie is amazing as it displays hope and is an amazing love story for everyone to enjoy. The 4 bonus photos are a bonus and it love them so much. For all 3 formats of the film for £1.60, I would highly recommend it for everyone around the ages of 12 to 30.
