I was simply lacing them up for the first time and ended up bending one of the grapples by pulling just too tightly. It stayed as one piece and I'm still using it 5 days later but not sure if/when they're gonna break. Other than their durability they work as intended. I have bought metal ones for my other shoes....that came with awesome elastic laces!
