It's worth every penny to upgrade from G2
I've owned both Max G1 and G2 before purchasing this, and am super happy with upgrading to G3. The G3 doesn't only have the premium look and build quality, but also has ticked almost all the boxes I've wished for an ideal e-scooter at this price point. What I'm most satisfied with is the top speed, which was even scarily fast initially. But once getting used to it, it's enjoyable when riding on roads with little traffic. The front and rear mechanical disc brakes offer sufficient amount of force to stop this beast with the increased top speed. I was at the beginning skeptical and worried if I might have to upgrade them to hydraulic ones; however, once they've bedded in, I'd to admit they're more than enough. One minor complaint about the brakes is the factory setup is front brake on the right and rear one on the left, which is the opposite of that of bikes. I had to swap them the moment I realized that (attached a video on how it was done). I do hope Segway can change that in US so that customers don't have to deal with the hassle. Other features I enjoy are: the daytime running light for added safety, the upgraded smart display which supports navigation (I've used phone navigation in the freezing winter days and the phone battery just dropped super fast), the mode switch mounted on the handlebar without moving the hand. The range however is noticeably much shorter, especially when riding in Sport mode and frequently hitting the 28MPH top speed. Fortunately Segway will release an external battery soon to solve this issue, which I do feel is a good solution, as I can mount it only when I need more range and keep the scooter lightweight when I don't. There're posts on Reddit that shows the GT3 battery actually can fit into G3, which is has 50% more capacity. However, I'm worried if there'd be fire hazard when charging and decide to pass on it. Overall, G3 is an outstanding scooter at this price point, if the range is not an issue for you.

Great scooter and hauls butt
Got this for my 10yrs old. She flies around on it. The blue tooth was easy to set up and it has a built in find my scooter if stolen. It breaks down super easy for transport to the park or someplace else. The handle bars lower down and lock in place on the scooter. Charging is pretty fast and it lasted for over an hour of constant non stop riding at full speed. It’s got get up and go speed as well. It has different riding settings for beginners or seasoned persons riding and easy to change with pressing some buttons. Has turn signals and hazard lights. Excellent shocks on it as well.

Solid high quality scooter with a few compromises
In many ways this is a fantastic scooter. Having come from cheap $250 scooters this one has real suspension that also protects the handlebar from vibrations and makes it very comfortable to ride. The tech is top notch. I love that it has the charger built in so I don't have to worry about carrying a brick everywhere. This this really shifts and will easily achieve the 25mph top speed. The light is bright and great for nighttime riding. My main gripes are 1) the range - it's very tempting to ride around in sport and it goes through the battery very quick. 2) the throttle level extends to part of the grip and I've found that I'll often keep the throttle on without realizing because of the way I'm gripping the handlebars which can be a little unsafe at times 3) while I love the indicators they're a little hard to turn off without having to look down.. 4) can't really blame the scooter but unfortunately it doesn't fit in the trunk of a Tesla Model 3 unless you remove the subspace divider. overall a good buy, perhaps with the GT3 battery it could be nearer perfect.

Home run!
First off this scooter is amazing! Besides this thing being built like a tank and rather large, this scooter is a great adult model. Having owned the Segway ES3 Plus and G30, this new version improves on everything. It is super smooth with the combo of shocks and large air tires. I’m 210 lbs and this thing has no issues climbing hills that the previous scooters had issues with. Boost mode is so fast it is terrifying. I like that you can record different audio clips to play through the speaker such as “On your left” or a horn honking. The bell is kinda weak but it is better than freaking people out on the walking paths. Light is super bright and legendary. Can’t say enough positive things about this thing. Well done Segway! Like the small charger cable yet super fast charging and the display the gives you the remaining time to charge. App well thought out. Now two my only two complaints. 1.) Wish I could set the middle speed most to 18 or 20 mph 2.) Wish it had a horn for the road or a setting to use for the streets (vs bike path). Obviously your distance will be reduced the more you weigh, but you can still easily get 16 miles of range which is all I need. One thing I found odd was the tire said max load 220lbs, but maybe that is only for 1 tire and with two you can hold more? This thing is super well built and could easily hold more weight.

Bad Software
Note the physical scooter itself is great, I'm giving it a 1 star rating for the horrible software side of this scooter. First of all you CANNOT turn off the blue tooth so you can run around exposed all day for a hacker to steal this if they know what there doing. Second there is no way to physically connect to your scooter via a USB port so if the stupid blue tooth fails during an update like it did for me your basically locked out of the scooter, it will still function but you will no longer be able to do anything via blue tooth in terms of updates. If you get this scooter go find a dedicated hacking community like Scooter hacking.org and just run your own firmware, I should have done that before trusting this corporate nonsense now I got to wait forever for a return process

What a fast and fun scooter. Only complaint is battery life is quiet less on sport mode but thats the only mode thats fun to ride in. Other than that, it’s a great scooter. Really fun and i got it at a good price when it was on sale. Id recommend this model.

I haven't had a chance to ride it much, as I don't want to subject it to the winter weather, but I can say from about 50 km of use that this is a fantastic scooter. I have the G2 Max (which is also a great scooter) but the G3 is a significant upgrade. The ride is incredibly stable, and the dual disc brakes are a welcome addition. I love the new TFT display and the swept back handlebars, and the larger 11 inch tires. If you can get it on sale, it's an especially great deal.

Excelente para moverse rápido en una ciudad tan complicada por el tráfico, su desplazamiento es muy bueno, los materiales del scooter son de mu buena calidad.

It was either I chose those Chinese scooters that can go hella fast for the same price if not lower, or I get something I can be confident that it'll last me a long time. Although I was starting to regret the purchase after it shipped, when it arrived, I think my regrets are all gone now. Rides very nice plus it's much bigger in person and 45 km/h is sufficient I guess. It's missing a star because range is lacking quite a bit ESPECIALLY for the price. Probably so you would buy the upcoming external battery. Battery taking forever to release is probably so people would forget this scooters price and spend I'm guessing 350 dollars to get range that pretty much every other scooter in this price point gets lol.
