Great card, amazing performance and runs silent and chilly, and a really good price zero point in going with Nvidia when you can get this 9070 for under £600 .

Great card
This GPU is great, especially when it comes to efficiency. If you are annoyed by the noise when the fans stop, you can fix it in AMD Adrenaline. Just go to Performance -> Tuning, check Custom, enable Fan Tuning, and then disable Zero RPM. You can also create a better fan curve there. At a room temperature of 24c, the card idles at around 29c GPU / 31c hotspot, which is really good (using my custom Fan Curve).I tried a few different settings and at the end I chose to pick the efficiency one. All tests are using the Fan Curve fromt he screenshot with no FSR.Under load, with a custom fan curve that hits 100% at 90c, Voltage Offset -100mv and VRAM Max Frequency (MHz) to 2800, the card runs at 3360 MHz, with temps at 55c GPU / 75c hotspot after 30 minutes. Power usage was around 300W, with the power limit set to default (0%).Even if I increase the power limit, the card still stay at 3360 MHz with same power usage, so there is no point to increase it.With the stock/default settings and only the custom fan curve, the card runs at 3200 MHz, with the same temps (55c / 75c) and slightly higher power draw (310W). So just undervolting gives you better performance at lower or equal power and temps. My personal setup is:Voltage Offset: -100 mVVRAM Memory Timing: Fast TimingVRAM Max Frequency (MHz): 2800Power Limit: -30%The Fan Curve is in screenshotThe GPU will go to 3160 MHz, temps 50c GPU / 67c hotspot and power draw will be 237W.With these settings, I lose only about 4% FPS (compared with the 3360 MHz variant), but the GPU runs much cooler and more efficiently. In my case the sweet spot for stability is -100mv Voltage Offset. For you it can be even -150 or -80, depending on the game or the card. What is strange is that if I enable the FSR in games, the GPU will jump to 3360 MHz, power draw 230W with 90% load no matter what power limit I choose. So I guess the FSR have a custom tuning for a lower consumption.

Outstanding GPU.
This GPU is brilliant, great build quality and it really feels like a premium card. Low temperatures and noise, top performance and even comes with 4 years of warranty once registered with Gigabyte/Aorus.

RX 9070 XT is great hardware, time will tell on software
Edit: this review was at the launch price of £675. Under no circumstances should you buy a 9070 xt at over £900. It's too expensive for a mid teir GPU and you can buy an RTX 5070 Ti for that (which is still overpriced but about 5-10% faster than this card). It's good enough I suppose. It would be great if I could get excited about new cards like in the good old days but these days everything is so overpriced that it is difficult. Nevertheless, at least AMD is pricing justifiable whereas current Nvidia 5000 gen prices are insane. This model is good. I have used Gigabyte GPUs before and they have proven to be well made with good support. The only bad thing is that is is very loud out of the box as the default fan curve is very aggressive, but this can be fixed once you download the vendor software and play around with it a bit.The 9070 xt hardware is fine with more than enough grunt for 1440p gaming over the next few years. A lot of it's future potential rests on AMD being good with driver support and FSR4 upscaling being widely adopted across future titles. They have a golden opportunity here to bring some competition to the market so let's hope they follow through.

Weird sound
Very cool and fast card but everytime the fans stopped or started again a weird sound coming from the card, is a common issue with Aorus

Great Price, Just The Product i Needed
Good price when all around were rising. Product excellent, just as described. Well packaged, no problems ordering or with delivery. Definitely use seller again.

Solid performer
Fits easily in a Fractal North. Bear in mind this card requires three PCIe power cables (you shouldn't just use the split cables). It performs well in Cyberpunk at 4k without any upscaling, even with raytracing enabled. This is my first AMD card and it certainly doesn't disappoint.Edit after weeks of ownership:This card is a powerhouse - the vapour chamber covers the GPU die and the VRAM, consequently it responds well to VRAM overclocking and undervolting. I understand that some of the variants don't have the same vapour chamber arrangement and that overclocking VRAM leads to VRAM temps over 90C. So no regrets on the Gigabyte card. One tiny observation, it has a bizarre sliding plastic cover over the RGB lighting - but this is easily removed (it just clips on).

Was nvidia...now AMD with no regrets
Excellent card. Upgraded from a nvidia rtx 3070 to this and I'm not disappointed. A lot of the games I play can run at 4k max settings with no issues and newer games are running very well. No coil whine, not very loud when under load and performance is great. Didn't pay the silly prices these cards are currently going for, hot mine for just over msrp. Definitely hold out for more sensible pricing. Card is an excellent upgrade if you're looking for a great midrange gpu
