Finally found the perfect scale!
I’ve used several big-name scales over the years, like Withings, Fitbit, and Garmin. They were fine for weigh-ins but this Body Pod is phenomenal. Most smart scales display your weight and a body fat estimate, then sync it to an app and that’s it. Hume takes it to another level. The body composition data is way more detailed and accurate. It tells me visceral fat, metabolic age, lean mass, and hydration levels. The best part is it's laid out in a way that makes sense in the Hume app, giving me personalized insights, habit nudges, and goal tracking that actually feels tailored to me. The best way I can explain it is that other smart scales feel like gadgets – they give you numbers and hope you know what to do with them. The Hume system feels like a wellness coach in your back pocket, keeping you focused on progress not just the number on the scale. Would definitely recommend Hume and I’m excited to see what else they come up with.

Fails to update -- does not work more than 24 hours.
When I received this it worked fine out of the box. But now, 24 hours later, it will not record any new stats. It is connected to my phone and appears to be gathering data, but it does not display the updated stats in the app. And, like all things app driven, there are no troubleshooting directions, and no human being can be reached to ask questions of. I sent an e-mail to Hume for support, but if this is like other high-tech, AI driven firms, I doubt I will receive any human help. When I reported my issue to Hume Health, I received an e-mail response to my issue that directed me to reset the scales and re-install the app. It worked the first time, but the next day, failed to update. I purchased this to have a convenient means of saving progress. But, since this product does not update, I'm back to "dumb" scales and a writing my results on the calendar. Another piece of hi-tech junk, long on marketing, short on customer service. Returning it to Amazon today.

Easy to use and understandable.
Little pricey, but cool tool!

Great idea—if the product actually worked.
Great idea—if the product actually worked. Pros: Lots of features Easy initial setup Cons: Despite the easy setup, the device must connect to your phone daily via Bluetooth, which it rarely does. I’ve spent 5–10 minutes many mornings trying to get it to connect, and sometimes it doesn’t connect at all. Requires a subscription—because who really needs another one? Conclusion: I’ll be returning this item.

Awesome! Very Close to DXA
I give the scale five stars because it was within a couple of pounds for both lean and fat mass of a DXA scan done on the same day. Of note, I was able to use the Hume scale, DXA, and InBody in the same day. If you consider the DXA scan the gold standard, then the Hume scale was far closer than the InBody scan. (this may be an issue with the InBody I was using or the technician) The set up and linkage with the Hume application on the phone was straightforward no issues Overall, I consider it accurate and for the money it costs a little more than two DXA scans. Except you don't need to schedule an appointment and you can do it as often as you see fit. Combine the Hume with body measurements and pictures and you have a winning/solid method for tracking progress and achieving your goals.

I like eating too much.
I just got it today. I am a fat pig : ) I know I weight 318 at least. Scale says I am 322 with 136 lbs body fat and lean mass of 185 lbs. I can salsa dance two hours, so even though I am 63 , this scale says my biological age is 39 years. At least now I know why I can't climb hills easily This thing runs on bluetooth 2.4 Hz , so you might have to shut off wireless to get a connection. Some wireless interferes with bluetooth due to same frequency. Been using it and recording the percentage of body fat. I found that if I jog 4 times a day on the treadmill for 20+ minutes, this device will in fact record a small percentage body fat lost. I continue to job 4 times a day with rest between. This scale is accurate because I went to an appointment at a weight loss center and they had a professional scale that said I was 124.2 lbs of fat versus 136 lbs this scale found.

Not worth the money
This scale consistently shows I am 5 pounds heavier than all other scales. Only one person can use it since it requires an app. It doesn't take any other health metrics into consideration and calculates your biological age with extra weight. I am going to put it in the trash. Expensive mistake.

Get a wifi scale, not bluetooth
I bought this after all the hype and ended up returning it. Once in awhile, the scan would work but I usually would have to reset the bluetooth on my phone first to reconnect it. Scans would error all the time and the readings fluctuated wildly from day to day. I ended up getting a Withings scale instead because it uses wifi instead of Bluetooth. Haven't had any errors on it.
