Overpriced, Unstable, Disappointment
Runs well for the most part, however, the product arrived in bad condition with experiencing repeated hard freezes with my ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090. The issue occurs randomly, usually while playing games such as Valorant or Fortnite. The PC freezes completely and I am forced to perform a hard shutdown before rebooting. The problem happens at least twice per day. Typically the error codes I get are LiveKernelEvent 141 so it is definitely a GPU issue. Despite resetting drivers, stress testing, updating BIOS, and replacing my CPU, it still persists. I confirmed this is a 5090 after replacing it with a 5080.

The best GPU on the market currently. The fans are pretty quiet, for me at least. I don't mind hearing a wind tunnel sometimes, but that's more a system fan setup issue than a GPU one. This Card is COLLOSAL in size; A full-sized case that supports E-ATX is pretty much required as I wouldn't dare try to squeeze this in to a mid tower. Furthermore, this GPU can draw up to a staggering 600 watts; a 1200 is MANDATORY. Do NOT use this GPU with an under powered power supply. You will regret it. The aesthetics on this card are pretty nice without looking like rainbow road is in your PC. But let me get to the more important part of a GPU of this price and performance: AI Workloads: Pretty much generates in seconds. Local LLMs will especially benefit for this card's performance. Generating AI images and video doesn't even stress the GPU much. It's THAT powerful. Crypto: I don't use my GPU for this so I can't comment much on it. Shouldn't be too different from it's performance with AI, I guess. Gaming: Get a 5080 or even a 5070. You don't need this GPU if you're only running a single monitor setup and only play the occasional triple AAA game with super high graphics settings. If you're running a crazy simulation setup with multiple monitors all running at 4k then THAT is when you'll likely see this card stress out. No amount of Cooling will keep up with that, though. Final Thoughts: For power users ONLY. If you're a casual user who only games every once in a while, then this card is just way overkill... And a waste of money.

I have purchased 4x RTX 5090 GPUs (2x gigabyte,1x Zotac) and this is my daily driver but in default mode this card is the loudest I owned. It can be annoying ,so I suggest make a quiet fan curve. Pros Fastest consumer GPU out now Can overclock/underclock well but once your at 600Watts GPU clocks drop off a cliff There are new BIOS for GPU with a quiet fan curve Nvidia features can be very good at times Cons Expensive Power hungry 600Watts default mode Can get hot but Nvidia has 88°C limit on memory Very loud in default mode when fan speed hits over 55% Nvidia Drivers can be a mess at times

Had a lot of problems at first, took some tweaking to get working right. AMD 7900 XTX OC (former card) was simple and worked right out the box. Nvidia unfortunately has the AI market cornered though. For gaming I would recommend the much less expensive 7900 XTX OC. I’ve had a problem after problem getting the 2.1 display port to work properly on my 57 inch ultra wide monitor , whereas the AMD card I never had a problem at all, always had 220 Hz display and ran my games flawlessly. For the amount of money they are getting for these cards if you don’t want to do AI save your money and go with AMD!
