Careful!!
This kit comes with a low voltage plug in with small gauge wire. You might be paying for more than you need.

great value
These arrived and I installed them easily. They seem very sturdy for the amount I paid.

Good but could be much better
I searched high and low for some LED spotlights in this 1W or lower class. 1W doesn't sound like much but modern LEDs are very efficient and I found even the 4W LED lights which are the smallest carried at the local big box store to be too much light for my small yard. 1W is just about right for spotlighting interesting plants and features while retaining a mellow, relaxing atmosphere at night. These feel solidly built, the quality is not exceptional but it is adequate and certainly meets my expectations for the price. The light is plenty bright and has a nice warm look similar to that of incandescent without being that icky yellow tinge resembling a white light shone through a jar of pee that a lot of really cheap "warm white" LED lights seem to have. Installation was a snap, just poke the stake in the ground and connect the wires. These lights come with the standard insulating piercing connectors typical of low voltage lighting but I chose to snip those off and use Sunvie connectors instead which I find to be a better design. Now the flaws, and the reason I'm giving these a less than stellar review. Glare! These things have to be very carefully positioned or you get a ton of glare. Unlike most spotlights, the lens on these is frosted to spread out the light and also unlike most spotlights, there is no glare shield at all, the glass is right out on the nose so anywhere out to almost 90 degrees you get a blinding glare. For testing purposes I unscrewed the end to remove the lens and found that it looks much better. When shining on a light colored wall you do get some yellow fringing that is not blended but this is not noticeable at all when illuminating plants and other darker objects. Importantly, glare is drastically reduced and positioning is much less critical. I'm going to see if I can find some plain clear lenses in the same size as the included frosted lenses. I may also try to fabricate a clip-on glare shield and see if that improves things as well.In a nutshell, if these came with a transparent lens or better yet, a transparent lens with a removable diffuser sheet, and a glare hood I would easily give them 5 stars but out of the box I just find there to be too many limitations for the use I had in mind. Even so, given the overall lack of choices in the low wattage end of the LED landscape lighting market these are some of the best lights of this type that I've found, and the most affordable by a significant margin.

Some good, some bad, and, the jury is still out.
Normally, I wait some weeks to gain longer term experience before writing a review, but, the experience thus far with this product requires more immediacy. Needed 8, and bought two six packs, leaving some for other experiments or replacements. Installation was very easy with the included interlocking piercing connectors. The brightness of the 1W lights far exceeded my expectations, making them a great choice for my planned usage, as seen in the attached photo. However, within two hours of the controller turning them on (~ an hour after the photo), one of the lights failed closed (resistance less than 2 ohms), essentially being a dead short, causing the overload protection of my new smart digital controller to kick in, taking the line of lights offline. My old analog timer would have just smoked it, leaving the line online with one light out, so now, I had to check every connection and light for a problem. As it turned out, the problem light was the very last thing I checked!!!! Perfect. Now, What to do? Take them all off, reset to the former lights, repack and return, or just replace and live with it? Well, I grabbed a spare and will see how long they go. The failure happened in the placement/experiment stage, so the entire system was exposed, as I didn't want to add the secondary waterproofing, and bury the system to then have to dig it up to locate another failure. It still is exposed, and not sure how long I'll wait, but after three rain showers, everything is still ticking. For now, I will leave a 3 Star rating. With their brightness and ease of install alone, I would have given 4 Stars, so, given the sudden failure, I am subtracting 1 Star, and, will plan to provide updates if the failure rate continues, although, based on the info from the numerous 1 & 2 Star ratings, I should expect more action sooner rather than later.08/25/2022 UPDATE - After 19 months, I noticed that one of the lights was substantially dimmer than the rest. After another 2 months, it was dead. Fortunately, I still had replacements from the original purchase, so swapping it out was and easy 10 minute job, including testing. Looking at my original picture just now, I was not sure that the lights were still that bright. On the first evening after replacement, with a brand new light sandwiched between two older lights on the side of the house, there was little, if any, perceivable difference between the old and the new. Very glad to see that!

Great... but only last 4 years
This is the 4th year having these lights. I've had 2 decide to go out this year already.

Perfect amount of light for trees
Installed these at the bases of my trees and pergola, adds just the right amount of light. Able to aim them so that they don't shine into neighbours homes... easy to install, good quality

Excellent so far
Good product so far, they’ve stayed outside all winter (Montreal winter, means a lot of snow) and they’re still working perfectly. Easy to install. Maybe a bit too bright for my need, but that’s relative.

Good, but 2 of 6 burnt out
Bought these because of their good value. Within 3 months 2 of the 6 had burnt electronics inside and stopped working. Would not buy again.

Works well
I took out one star because the bulb cannot be replaced and you have to replace the whole fixture when the bulb dies. I have ordered 2 packs of 6 so far just to replace the dead ones. Failure rate seems to be around 20% after 12-18 months of usage in my case.

Works and looks great.
This is a great product. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because these were replacement units for 18 month old units, so these do not last forever even though they are LED. It wasn't easy to figure out the problem with the old ones either. I had to take them off the line one at a time until I figured out which were the bad ones. I wish they were a little less expensive, but I will buy them again as needed when these ones stop working.
