Dragunity Senatus - CYHO-EN016 - Super Rare - 1st Edition

Dragunity Senatus is a Level 4 Winged Beast "Dragunity" monster. It can equip a Dragunity Tuner, allowing it to work with Phalanx (or Couse) to make some Synchro Summons. If you do this, you can't Special Summon Extra Deck monsters besides Dragons - Dragunity Knights like Vajrayana, Gae Dearg, and Barcha are okay, as are Dragons like Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon and Stardust Dragon, but non-Dragons are a no-go, so Goyo Guardian, PSY-Frame Lord Omega, etc. are out.Unlike your other Dragunity Winged Beast options (mainly Dux and Legionnaire), Senatus requires you discard a Dragunity card to equip from the Deck, which is situationally useful. Early in the game, you can pitch a Couse from your hand and search out a Phalanx without needing it in the GY. This means there will be times when Senatus might even be better than Dux, so running 1 or 2 copies of Senatus in a Dragunity deck can be useful.Dragunity decks will be getting a new Link monster soon (Dragunity Knight - Romulus), which Senatus will be able to Link Summon. Given this, Senatus definitely has some potential to be a major role-player in Dragunity.
