MyArtscape Graphite Transfer Paper - A4 Black 20 Sheets

Very easy to use, and erase. Works as promised.

I am very happy with this transfer paper. When I used carbon paper I realized my mistake, I couldn't erase the lines. With this paper, I can trace the design and then lightly erase the lines when I am ready to paint or not erase, depending on the paint color. I use it for watercolor. There has been no problem for me with seeing the design when traced, as some reviewers have said. I have used the same sheet several times and it always works. You just have to position the transfer paper to use a part of the sheet that has not been transferred already. It is pricey, but worth it. No problem with smudging.

Artscape Graphite Transfer Paper never disappoints! It's so consistent and always reacts the same to my pencil. I depend on it and it comes thru for me every time! Thanks!

Out of necessity this is thicker than regular graphite paper, which means that using it the traditional way (transferring an image using an additional piece of paper) doesn't work the best. I did that myself and the transfer was very faint. But really, the whole point of getting this paper is to save that step altogether, which it does wonderfully. The paper works great in our printer. In our case we just need to load the paper graphite side up so that the image gets printed on the white/paper side of the graphite paper. Your printer might be different. I use the draft/low ink setting when I print on it, it saves on ink and still gives me a good image to transfer. It's great skipping the additional tracing step and makes for far more accurate transfers. The graphite doesn't seem to harm the printer in any way, even when I accidentally put it in with the wrong side up. And it gives a nice, strong transfer once I go over the image with a pencil or stylus. Also, since it's wax free the transfer is erasable and it works really well for pyrography pattern transfers. I love this stuff!

Using this graphite paper to transfer design onto basswood round for pyrography. I was surprised at the amount of pressure required to transfer lines to the wood, even though I had sanded the wood prior to transfer. This transfer paper is thicker than the transfer paper offered by the pyrography company I purchased my burner from, almost as thick as a regular sheet of copier paper, rather than the thin tissue-like sheets I was expecting. Maybe this product is good for transferring to another piece of paper or a hard surface, but not for wood panels … I will not purchase again. Also, the package was torn open prior to shipping … I only kept it after counting the sheets to be sure all 20 were present. One star off for ease of transfer, and one star off for Amazon shipping an obviously opened product.

A little expensive but well worth it. As described, erases on canvas and watercolour and regular paper. Definitely recommend and will buy again! As you seen, before and after in photos.

I have been using this tracing paper to transfer information onto wood boards, for a wedding. When I first received it, I tried to create a "smudge" like carbon paper creates, by putting it on a piece of wood and rubbed it with my finger, nothing transferred. However when I used my tracing tool (a small plastic pen like thing with a little ball on the end), it traced to the wood just fine. The closest I came to a smudge, was when my tracing tool slipped and added an extra line onto my board. A decent Steadler eraser and a dry paintbrush (to clear the eraser residue), worked great, the line was erased. It is expensive, but is excellent when what you are working on matters.

Very easy to use and easy to remove lines if required.
