This led based light has a lot of useful features and is relatively small and packable.The recharge feature with solar power is nice but a problem with it is how it is to be used. If using it for backpacking or similar uses it falls short as the on off switch has a tendency to go on when packed in a pocket or similar storage.The switch button needs to be recessed to prevent this, and with internally provided batteries you can't remove them without disassembly.The light itself has only moderate to low light out put as well. It would have been nice if they had included a rigid case for storage to help in housing the light and it's 2 other pieces as well.

Reliable and sturdy! I have used this at my cabin and it has saved me many nights when entering in the dark! I've dropped it so many times and it is not affected.

It is very light weight but I’m glad I brought an extra light as the solar charging did not work. After hours in the sun I would only get a few minutes of light. Using the usb to charge something else was out of the question even while in the sun.

We purchased a few of these a few months ago for a camping trip. Because we need a power source for our phones I opted for as many solar powered options as possible that also had USB capabilities so they served a dual purpose...Unfortunately, it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped. If you're looking for a lantern that is lightweight, doesn't need additional supplies to operate & is easy to use - this is PERFECT! But it's not a got power source in any form. It wouldn't even keep my phone at the same %age throughout the night even though it still had power. When we woke up my phone battery was actually lower both nights (this also happened w/2 other solar powered camping products - nor relevant to this product - just something to keep in mind)

My husband is a veteran camper - old school. I am simply becoming more “emergency aware.” We also plan to RV in our retirement soon, so these seemed like a good purchase.They are AMAZING. Compact, with a little solar panel on top. They aren’t gonna light up a whole room but do give off a soft glow of light to see your immediate space around you. Good on a patio or camping table and excellent for an emergency without power.I think everyone should carry a couple of these -powering up on your dashboard- on any road trip. I will probably buy more.

I bought this light for 2 specific reasons so it fits my needs but..It is supposed to be a helpful camping light. No. Nowhere near durable enough for camping...at least not when I go camping.As a temporary power outage light, an emergency car light, even as an evening backyard light - its great [altho for yard you'd need more than 1]. Its also extremely light & folds which means the lantern is not durable. Since it has a strong flashlight /,& emergency light component. its perfect for an emergency light to toss in a *go bag* for quick evacuation. I live in CA so fires & earthquakes are too real to be unprepared. Its perfect for that sort of thing.

These are cool little lights, whether for use during storm power outages or when you're chasing stray cats out of the backyard at night, ha. The brightness is impressive and I particularly like the handheld option. These lights are lightweight and fit easily in the palm of your hand. The lantern function is OK, but probably works better when you hang them versus sitting them on a table. There are two levels of brightness and a strobe option as well. I cannot speak to the battery life, as I just keep these babies on a window sill to keep the batteries charged (per another reviewers recommendation). So far, I am very pleased with these lights.

These lights are really good. Love that they are solar powered also.i ordered two more I liked them so much cause it's perfect for hurricane season 🙂
