I have not tried it yet but it looks fine. The only thing I didn’t like is that there were no instructions as to where to put the bait. I believe that bate should be used but it would fall off the bottom hole if it is just placed in there.

The center opening on bottom has no way of being drawn or conched closed. Bait rolls out of the trap through the access hole quickly. The access hole itself does not seem secure enough to retain trapped fish.

The netting materials are thin and tear easy

I've caught a lot of minnows in this trap, but when I lift it out of the water, I always loose a bunch out of the bottom. I bought this specifically because it didn't have a zipper because I'm using it in salt water and I figured the zipper would rust pretty quickly, so I have to wrap a rubber band around the bottom to prevent the losses. I wish it came with some sort of bait station. I've been wrapping some dog food in a fine mesh and tying it to the top and I get more bait that way, but it's a pain to get that bait tied so it hangs down in the middle of the trap.Update (1 year later) - went to use it again this year, the rods (like an umbrella) that hold it open have rusted and become so brittle that one broke. I fashioned it together and baited the trap. When I pulled it the next day the string it comes with snapped leaving the trap in the water. When I fished it out with a boat hook it was collapsed due to the weak metal arms that hold it open. 1 shrimp was the total of my catch. It's really not salvageable so I've thrown it away and I am now seeking a better trap. Probably need to spend more to get something of higher quality.

Came in great shape. Easy to use. Can’t wait to use it.

My 8 year old son really wanted this to go fishing in the creek. But, the way it opens up and closes is hard, and complicated for kids. It broke the first day, parts of the metal connections are fragile, it is the same mechanism of an umbrella, and it broke (or my son broke it). Because he was trying so hard to close it. It is also 3 feet wide, so it was hard to handle. I tried closing it too, and was successful but even for me it was not that easy.

Did great for me at the lake and at the coast off the pier catching bait fish.. I’d advise to purchase a longer and more durable rope to tie the trap to. The one it comes with is about the same thickness as a shoestring

I love it but my product arrived torn in one area. I had to stitch it back myself.

They work good but you have to constantly repair the mesh.
