A cute?!
Holy cow it works on my very sensitive facial skin without any irritation! Basic moisturizers either haven’t worked well on my facial eczema or had my skin reacting. This actually works. A little pricey, but easy to use sparingly without skipping where and when I need to use it.

Dispenser Didn't Work
The balm may be very good, dispenser did not work. I only got one 3/4 inch long strip, seemed like a good balm - nothing would work to get more. The other issue is only a once of balm - not sized for daily use. I love the skinfix eczema oil cleanser and was hoping this would be a great companion product - dispenser prevented me from finding out.

A Unique Occlusive Alternative That Leaves Skin Smooth and Plump
This has a very smooth, almost silky texture that spreads easily and feels instantly soothing on application. There is a slight scent, but no added fragrance, so it seems to come naturally from the ingredients. It has a faint, slightly wheaty oatmeal scent. The formula is packed with barrier-supportive ingredients. The standout is 5% colloidal oatmeal, but it also includes glycerin, allantoin, ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids, shea butter, squalane, jojoba oil, peptides, and vitamin E. It’s a very thoughtfully formulated product for supporting the skin barrier. What surprised me is that it doesn’t feel particularly moisturizing in the traditional sense. My skin felt soft, smooth, and soothed, but not especially hydrated, and there’s none of the greasiness you might expect from some of the oils in the formula. What it does do is create a very effective-feeling layer on the skin. Because of that, I decided to try it as the final step in my nighttime routine in place of my usual occlusive product, and it worked beautifully for that purpose. It helps lock in the hydration from the rest of my routine, but instead of staying sticky or greasy, it dries down to a more comfortable, almost powdery finish. It doesn’t transfer onto my pillow the way other products I’ve used for this purpose do, which has made it much more pleasant to use consistently. By morning, my skin looks smooth, plump, and refreshed. I’ve found myself reaching for this regularly as part of my nighttime routine, especially when my skin is feeling dry or in need of extra support. I’ve also used it a few times during the day when the weather has been cold and blustery and really drying to my skin. It worked well under sunscreen and makeup without any pilling, which was a nice bonus. I’ve also used it on a few areas of irritation and found it very comforting on the skin. One thing to be aware of; since this is an over-the-counter product with a Drug Facts label, it does have an expiration date. The one I received had a shorter window than I expected, so that’s something to keep in mind. A little does go a long way though. One to two pumps is enough for my face and neck. This has become a staple in my routine, especially for nighttime use.

Wonderful soothing balm for eczema or itchy, irritated skin!
Skinfix is a premium Canadian skin care brand, and I regularly use their vitamin C serum, Triple Lipid Serum, and their Triple Lipid Peptide Cream. Skinfix is known for dermatologist developed, well formulated products that support the skin barrier and have excellent ingredients for healthier, younger looking skin. I was excited to try their Eczema + dermatitis relief balm. I don’t have eczema, but I do develop patches of irritated skin on my body sometimes that even hydrocortisone creams aren’t enough to calm. My problem area is currently on my right shoulder blade, and I’ve tried using heavy moisturizers and body oils to little effect. This Skinfix balm comes in a 50 mL or 1.7 fluid ounce container with a pump top. It is fragrance free and has a very mild, pleasant scent. It’s light green in color. It rubs on smoothly and evenly, and it feels like a good medium to heavy moisturizer. My dry skin quickly absorbed it, and I think it would be fine to wear sunscreen and/or makeup over it. I experimented with it on my hands and on that itchy spot on my back, and it did a wonderful job of soothing that area. I used it that morning, and I did not even think about my back all day. I used it again that night and didn’t even need to reapply it in the morning. I am very happy with how effective this was at soothing that irritated skin. I plan to use it at least once a day to prevent reoccurrence of irritation there until it’s completely better. Update: I love Skinfix quality, and while this was initially soothing for my Winter dry and long, hot shower irritated skin on my back, I finally had to resort to an anti-itch cream with pain relief and taking shorter, cooler showers to reduce the irritation on my back. However, I feel this product would be effective for eczema, which is its intended use. It was manufactured in Canada, and it is free of steroids, antibiotics, fragrance, parabens, formaldehyde, phthalates, silicones, lanolin, propylene glycol, PEGs, and gluten. It is also vegan and cruelty free. Overall, I was very pleased with the effectiveness of this Dermatitis Relief Balm by Skinfix, and I believe it’s a quality product at a reasonable price for such a thoughtfully formulated item from a premium skin care brand. It feels very soothing and moisturizing, and I think it would work well for use on the face, hands or other parts of the body.

Had a severe flair up of eczema around my eyes. Tried at least 10 different products with no relief. With just one use this made the red, itchy stinging feeling go away instantly. I have never had a product work this quickly!

It gives me a severe skin reaction, so it may be too strong for my sensitive skin.
