Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, #1)

I saw the anime first, and I loved the story. The characters and situations are all funny, and the art is really good too. For a romantic-comedy, there's more humor than romance, but in that way it avoids being too predictable. Most of the humor is based on simple misunderstandings, which never fail to make me laugh. It's laid out in the 4-panel style like a lot of comedies, so it's pretty hard to lose your place or get the dialogue between characters mixed up.I specifically bought this in Japanese to help study the language. I heard that manga is a good way to learn Japanese in addition to classes and textbooks because it includes pictures which help understand and memorize the dialogue. The lines of dialogue are usually pretty short and written in simple, conversational Japanese. For someone who can't read much kanji, this manga is great because furigana is always included by the kanji in text balloons and boxes. Handwritten comments don't have the furigana, but with a good kanji dictionary or app, you should be able to find them. Overall, I think it's a good addition to other materials for beginners and up.

This was a gift for my younger brother who is using the book as a guide to learning how to read Japanese.Great condition. A little smaller then most manga books.

It look brand new and I'm so glad to use it to study for reading japanese.

面白くてあっという間に読み終わりました。読み終わった後で気持ちが上向きになったような気がします。続きが読みたいです。

The story is very amusing & an excellent way to familiarise myself further with Japanese in written form. Having read the story through to the current volume in English I found it easier to understand it.
