Excellent taste and texture
These are my favorite chocolate sprinkles. I have purchased the dark chocolate ones multiple times and am never disappointed. They cost a little bit more, but are well worth it.

Best quality chocolate sprinkles!
These are truly quality sprinkles. Nothing artificial. I use them for rolling my signature Rum balls. For all special, occasions and presents I make them for friends and family!! I get endless compliments, especially about the extra touch of the real chocolate sprinkles.

Awesome on toast! Heel lekker!
I discovered during my last trip to the Netherlands that putting chocolate sprinkles on toast is a favorite treat among dutch children (and, I suspect, more than a few adults!). It really didn't seem like something I would like, especially since, in my experience, chocolate sprinkles tend to taste very waxy and bland. Chocolate sprinkles actually contributed to my dislike for cupcakes as a kid.But because we received a couple of De Ruyter sample boxes from an Amsterdam tour guide ("Humans of Amsterdam" btw - highly recommended) as part of a gift bag, I decided to sprinkle some over my morning toast upon my return to the states, and was really, REALLY surprised how good it was! These sprinkles are rich-tasting, sweet, and blend so well with butter to bring a sweet perfect accent to something as plain as butter & toast, whether you add a little or a lot.I will admit, the price per box doesn't seem to be a value per se, but I'd say a box tend to last at least a month if used modestly even daily. More important, anything that you would consider putting chocolate sprinkles on - cupcakes, cookies, muffins, as a yogurt topping, it ALL tastes so superior to the waxy crappy POS sprinkles typically found in small plastic containers in American supermarkets. If you buy them and try them once (and the Milk Chocolate are equally as good), you will likely ONLY buy these sprinkles in the future.

Love the sprinkles
This is the real thing from Belgium. Just like the photo on the box I spread them on buttered bread and itโs great. I prefer the dark chocolate variety but the milk chocolate is good, too. I know many Americans would not think of this as a treat but it is a regular thing for breakfast in Belgium. Try it.

Not the Puur
For years I had ordered the dark cacao sprinkles with "Puur" on the label. These do not contain milk, are vegan. The last time I ordered these, they came with stickers covering the area where "Puur" is written. A label covered the nutrition information, but clearly these are milk chocolate.I tried to return. Not a returnable item. They are not as good, but also I don't consume milk products. So I bit the bullet, figured this was a mistake. Carefully read the product description and saw Puur.I reordered and got a second box with three containers of milk chocolate.Immediately upon receipt I tried to return. Nope. Non returnable.Don't waste your money. These are not dark chocolate, Puur hagelslag. You will be disappointed. At first I assumed error. Now I'm guessing deception, based on the sticker placement. A lesser product that sadly also contains milk.

Not your average chocolate sprinkle
I grew up having this sprinkle on my toast for my breakfast and I still do. Now I live in the US, I have to order it online since no grocery store here carries them. They taste more like chocolate than just sugar as the other chocolate sprinkles available in the stores here. I have to use them sparingly though, they are expensive!
