Great Ironman Arizona swim course suit
I bought this about a month out from Ironman Arizona, this past November of 2018. I tested it out a couple times in the pool at LA Fitness first. The water temp on race day was 58deg. Before I bought it I was thinking about just braving it and using my sleeveless and just get through it. I'm so glad I ended up forking out the money for this awesome suit. That water was so cold and this suit kept me going, not sure I would have finished it without it. If you are thinking of doing Ironman Arizona, or another race that has really cold water, this suit will get the job done well. I like how the arm pits were stretchy, I never felt like my shoulders were getting over worked from using a new suit that wasn't fully broken in. Also, I'm a 6'2 man at about 175-180lbs and the Large was perfect for me. I also got the xterra neoprene cap and so glad I did, definitely recommend both for IMAZ!

Good entry wetsuit.
A fairy decent entry wetsuit.I use it for open water swimming.I also own the next higher level suit called the "Vector" line. This suit is quite comfortable, seems very durable and the fit is pretty good.Like all wetsuits I have tried the suggested sizing is inaccurate. If you follow the sizing guidelines the suit will be too small.I ordered the MLO size although my body specs from the sizing chart indicated a M.(It was way too small.)The suit is quite buoyant, well insulated and fairly easy to put on.It does leak water somewhat. The next level "Vector" line is an improvement on this "Volt" model. For casual open water swimming this Xterra Volt is pretty good and affordable .One thing I like: Xterra has a good return policy and you can swim in the suit for 30 days for a "trial period".Other manufactures won't take a wetsuit back once it has hit the water...

QUALITY & AFFORDABILITY
As a first time wetsuit purchaser, I wasn't confident about what I needed. The reviews I'd read couldn't convey what wetsuit would "suit" me. Fortunately, Xterra caught my attention with a simple sizing chart, a positive track record, and a satisfaction guaranteed return policy.Xterra's delivery was prompt. Initially, the wetsuit required simple instruction to put on. I was concerned it would feel like I was being constricted by tires, but it seemed to fit okay. Another concern with wetsuits is the tendency for the material to tear. With modest patience this can be easily avoided. The true test was in the water.I was less than enthusiastic about a 65 degree open water swim, in October, in Colorado. To my immediate relief, the Xterra Volt was nearly impervious to the cold water. Movement in the Xterra Volt was surprisingly nimble considering how strong the material was. I also noticed the Xterra Volt provided an additional buoyancy which actually aided my swimming.Getting out of the Xterra Volt was easy, and after rinsing the wetsuit off with a hose, and letting it drip dry on a hanger, it was factory fresh. I've been able to use the Xterra Volt for 3 additional swims, and I'm completely satisfied with my purchase, and Xterra's quality.

I am a lanky 5'11" 165 lbs and I went for the (Medium/Long) wetsuit
I am a lanky 5'11" 165 lbs and I went for the (Medium/Long) wetsuit and im very glad i did. The wrist holes are tight to get on, but when on they create a skin tight barrier that doesn't allow water to get in but is very flexible to move around in. The leg openings and the arm openings sit perfectly on the start of the hand and foot respectively. I'm very glad I went for the Medium/ Long size because it fits perfectly.

100% customer satisfied.
I ordered the Volt but it was not available (until mid-June) and so Xterra contacted me and suggested another (older?) model; the VIVID. I did a little research about this model, talked to Kris at Xterra and accepted. I received the suit, tried it, tested it locally and at my next triathlon and really loved it. The suit is 3/2/1 (thickness) and is perfect for warmer water (Bay area). In addition to the suit and probably because Xterra could not send me the wetsuit I originally ordered, I got a bag which is perfect for carrying what I need to the transition area. I would give 6 stars if I could because the service I got from Kris was prompt and professional. Kris even sent me a repair kit for a wetsuit I bought a year ago (seam is coming off). I am definitely and Xterra satisfied customer and will stay with Xterra because the suit fits as expected, performs very well and is affordable.

Flexible, comfortable, and warm...slightly on the small side.
I'm 5'7 and 144 lbs and it was a bit of a struggle to get into the arms/shoulders, but got easier with practice.Once on, it was quite comfortable/flexible and very warm (triathlon was in water temp around high 50's and I felt fine). There was some struggle to get the suit off the legs in transition (due to the ankle tracker), but that should get easier with practice.

If you need a budget wetsuit then buy this one.
I have had my wetsuit for a week now. I have used it once in a pool and once in open water. Good so far. I will race in it in two weeks if my race is wetsuit legal. This is my first wetsuit so my frame of reference is limited but I am pleased so far. The fit is excellent. I am on the border. Between sizes and have been losing weight. Past reviews and Q&A led me to order the larger size (XL) and it is a good fit for me. I like the degree of mobility and buoyancy that the suit provides and find that donning and doffing the suit is getting easier with practice. I obviously cannot comment on durability but Xterra has a great reputation for making budget friendly wetsuits of good quality and having excellent customer service. I have been pleased with the service so far.

Great customer service
Great wetsuit, but even better customer service. The suit I bought wasn't in stock, so they automatically upgraded my suit for me. It fits perfectly, just how I need it to. After a couple of races, it still fits well and has no tears. Will buy again when this one wears itself out
