Seemed good at first and then water started to have a chemical taste. Going to have to change it again after less than 3 months.

The filter has two o-rings. In the picture, the old filter is on the right, the new on the left. The new filter arrived with only one o-ring, in which state it is completely useless and requires me to go through the hassle of returning.

This filter actually made my tap water taste worse! A complete waste of money. It leaves a chemical taste in the water. They should be ashamed of selling such a worthless product.

After 6 months use in my sub zero fridge, the top rubber gasket slipped off, the filter popped out of the base and water soaked our fridge and cabinets. I couldn't recommend less.

As other reviews have mentioned, some dark water discolouration from the filter's charcoal filter matter is noticeable in the first few litres of water / ice produced, but simply filling a few large containers using your fridge's filtered water feature and putting it down the drain easily resolves this. If your fridge has an ice maker but no filtered water feature, you'll either have to live with (harmless) dark ice for a while, or dispose of a few batches before it clears up.Once the charcoal discolouration issue clears up, the filter's performance is indistinguishable from an OEM filter (in our case, a 2021 Sub-Zero column fridge). One small thing, however, is that this filter is slightly longer than the OEM version. For us, it just meant the fiter door doesn't close fully (see pic). A minor annoyance, but we can live with it considering the significant price difference.

its ok but... plastics are cheap.. doesnt quite twist on like subzero OEM filter .... took a long time for the black carbon to disappear... (3 rounds of ice) whilst oem subzero it only took one round of ice deployment before ice was good to consume.i will update this review after some time of usageUpdate: after the initial carbon deposit issue the filter lasted a good length of time just like or subzero . So for the money this is a good value. Bumped it to 4 stars.

Le filtre est plus long que l’original, faisant en sorte que le couvercle et la porte de mon congélateur ne peuvent pas fermer. Inutile.

Works well with our Sub Zero fridge.

Fit on Subzero fridge was fine and seems to flow just fine. No issue with charcoal particles as mentioned in some other comments.
