My dog loves this
My dog loves this monkey even though itโs bigger than she is. It sounds like paper is in it and itโs fluffy

Puppy loves this comforting toy.
I bought this for my Lab/pit mix puppy, Whiskey. She was having a hard time adjusting to sleeping in her kennel at night - in part because the woman I got her from had been letting Whiskey sleep in bed with her. Whiskey had a cozy kennel, nice soft dog bed, a few chew toys, but it didn't matter. She would scream and whine literally all night in her kennel, and this went on for 3 weeks. I finally seemed to have made her happy by making her kennel more "bed like". I Added a couple Soft cuddly blankets - okay she liked that, but it was only a few hours into the night before she'd start her whining again... But once I added this bone pillow, VOILA! She was finally content! It seemed to be the extra cuddle factor she needed to keep her comfortable through the whole night. During the day she gnaws on the squeakers and loves wrestling with it, but once it's bed time she cuddles up right next to her big soft bone and is finally happy in her own bed. I think the size and heft of this toy is what gives it that extra comfort factor she wasn't getting from the smaller soft toys. She has managed to pull off a little tuft of fuzz, so I could see myself needing to replace this once or twice a year, but for the price and the comfort it brings Whiskey I'm more than happy to do so. I highly reccomend this toy for anyone with a puppy/dog that might need some extra comfort in a transitional period.

Not durable
This fleece ball is not thick or durable. I have a 50lb German pinscher, he is not rough with his binkys. They normally last months but this one didnโt even last a day, wah wah wah.

Fur-Babies LOVE
Our Labrador Retrievers LOVE this toy. They throw it around and like to play tug with the toy. What they love about it most is simply sucking on the toy. It is as if this toy & this sucking action soothes them. They do it with no other toy we have ever bought. And the durability is great with all the tugging & sucking on it! As long as the fur-babies are happy so are we!

Enticing, but not as durable as advertised
After further play, I'm re-writing this review and downgrading the rating. The only reason this toy gets 2 stars is the fact that my dog REALLY liked it while it lasted... the plastic crinkly sounds and the honking squeaker in this ball apparently make it hard to resist.Unfortunately, the claims of durability are bunk. If your dog is willing to play nicely with this ball, and only roll it around and carry it gently, it might last... but if your dog plays hard with it and chews at all it's going to be wrecked quickly, like most plush toys. Our first play session was about 15 minutes of me throwing the ball for my dog (8-month old ~50 lb. English Setter) to fetch, and I didn't let him get too into chewing on it. By the end there was a 1-inch hole torn in the ball. I put the ball away. The next day we played with it again for closer to a half an hour. I threw it for him again, but also played a bit of tug and I let him chew on the ball, since that was what he was hell-bent on doing (he has to get to whatever is making the sound inside). Even with me playing interference and taking it away each time he got too insistent on gnawing one spot, by the end of this 2nd play session the ball had a new gaping 3-inch hole. It's already lost a big handful of stuffing material.I guess I'll get one more session out of it before I have to gut it completely so my dog doesn't try to swallow any of the contents. He might get a little more fun out of ripping up the outer layer after that.So much for holding up to "hours of pawing, pulling, tugging, chewing and biting"! I'll probably make it last about an hour. Had I just given him the toy and left him to chew it up, it would have probably lasted 10-15 minutes. Disappointing.

Not terribly durable but my dog still loves every scrap that's left.
I'm giving this 4 stars because I've realized that most dog toys are essentially disposable objects and this is my dog's favorite of them all. With that understanding, the Colossal Dog Chew Toy makes a fantastic one-week dog toy. I've purchased two so far for my 70 lbs coonhound and all I have remaining are a few strips of the outer shell, with which he continues to play.As long as I only take it out for a bit to actively play with him, he's great and the toy will last for a decent while. But that isn't really what my big boy wants. He wants to get it all to himself and tear it into pieces by systematically ripping out each squeaker, all of the stuffing, and leaving a shattered, fluffy shell of a bone behind. For the price and the sheer joy he shows every time he sees a new one arrive, I've found it worth it to occasionally indulge in paying $1/day to watch him gleefully tear asunder his favorite toy.

dog loves it.keeps nibblers distracted.
Our dog is usually ripping out the stuffing of toys after about a minute but ever time she started to nibble through the fabric, some part of the toy would make a sound and divert her attention. she is 30 lbs mini aussie so is very meticulous about de-stuffing her toys and so far she likes this one enough to let it live. She loves it as a pillow too. The squeaker in each corner is great. it is also super fluffy and super soft. the quaking sound in the middle brings about a lot of excitement too. One reviewer commented on how the bone has a bag of fluff in it and its to make it crinkly like a lot of dogs like toys to be. it is worth the price for a happy dog, but we know it will not last too long in its current state.

This is a fantastic toy and value!
We have purchased six or so of these over the years, always a huge hit. Our lab loves this ball, carries it around, leaves it outside, it gets wet and we have to drag it in to dry. It eventually gets holes in it and then the little (yappy) dogs pull the stuffing out. For the price, we just purchase another, perhaps every six months, maybe less. Our labrador is not the type to tear toys apart. I have had an Australian Shepherd visit that tore a different toy apart in seconds, one that our dogs have had for a year. I see the comments about the toy not lasting. If your dog is inclined to shred toys, this will not last. If your dog likes carrying toys, loving toys, playing fetch . . . it will last for a while but will eventually tear. I suppose the fabric could be thicker, but it suits our purposes and is a great price!
