PAHROC GIANT Exxxpanded Perlite #3 - (8QTS) Coarse, Hydroponic Grow Media and Soil Amendment

I am glad I trusted the positive reviews of others; I really like this perlite and I ordered more. If you are using it as soil amendment and are planting very tiny plants you may want a smaller size but for my 4" and above potted plants it is working well. I also use it in my water propagation vessels.

I bought this for my growing plant collection and was pleasantly surprised. I previously purchased a bag of a more readily available although inferior quality product and will not be going back. My only complaint is that I can’t buy a bigger bag so I can just have it on hand for all the new plants I will no doubt be getting. A+ as far as I’m concerned. Will definitely be buying more.

Plant roots need 50% water AND 50% air around them. Big box and garden center stores only offer tiny pieces of perlite which clump together anyway (think of a bag of peas.) This stuff elbows away other particles leaving big spaces (think of a bag of broccoli), especially when mixed with wood chips ( I use Zoo Med Premium Repti Bark.) Exxxpanded perlite also holds the air plants need. I use it for begonias, orchids, succulents and ferns.

Great product, large particles and does not turn to powder like some of the smaller perlite.

Pieces are a great size, much larger than what I could find at the big box stores. Roughly dime sized pieces.

Cannot share my satisfaction enough with this! The perlite is nice and chunky and a little goes a long way! HIGHLY recommend!

As advertised. Huge perlite. Exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend if your looking for some nickel to dime size perlite.

The quality of this product is very good. However, the quantity is very small. I returned it. Prompt refund and good return policy.
