Jaws and chuck are not numbered to their location.
Seems to run within .002, but the instructions clearly state that if you remove the jaws make sure, they are put back starting with Number one and put them back in their number sequence. Problem is there are no numbers on the jaws or the chuck. UPDATE. I found the numbers on the jaws, but there were not any on the chuck, so I engraved the numbers on the chuck, now's all good. The last test after cleaning the inside of the chuck shows one- and three-quarter thousand's total runout. It doesn't get any better than that with a three jaw self-centering chuck unless you play around with shims. Fantastic chuck at any price. I highly recommend it .

Missing some necessary hardware
Decent quality chuck for the price. I was disappointed that it did not come with a t-wrench for loosening and tightening the chuck. The package also did not include the bolts needed to attach the backing plate to the chuck. Heads up for anyone purchasing this. You will need to buy or make a t-wrench and the metric threaded bolts to attach the backing plate to the chuck as they are not included.

They shipped an incorrect 1 3/8 in-8 Backing Plate. Wont mount
I received a VEVOR 6 in lathe chuck but the backing plate is the wrong size. It should have a 1 1/2 in-8 Threaded Backing Plate but it came with an <<< INCORRECT>>> 1 3/8 in-8 Threaded Backing Plate. I have not heard a response from the Vevor product support group yet. If I do not heard from VEVOR then I will cancel the Amazon VEVOR order and get an Amazon CME lathe chuck with an attached backing plate.

Came with burrs everywhere, and full of grinder dust.
Idk what I expected for the price, but they did a bad job of finishing this chuck. It required a full disassembly and deburring and clean out of the box to run properly. And even once that was done, it typically only held concentricity as well as 5 thou most of the time. Other than that it functioned completely fine as a chuck. For the price I don't know if I could have expected any better.

Missing bolts
When this item arrived the 6 bolts that were supposed to be with it were missing. I’m not surprised since the box was damaged when it arrived.

1 1/2-8 threads were terrible
The 1 1/2-8 threads were terrible. They were so bad they almost look like they were cast and not machined. I wouldn't put this on my lathe for fear of destroying the headstock threads. I've had good luck with past Vevor purchases so I'm assuming that this might be a one-off misfit.

Yeah, I guess there is some cleanup to do but for the price this is a chunky chuck. Made my lathe look like it’s some serious machine.

I am happy with this inexpensive chuck, but it would have been nice to know that when you remove it from the box, it comes in two pieces and it held together by the suction of oil, care is needed as one piece struck my foot, you will need some 8mm by 15mm set screws as it doesn't come with any for centering.

Mine came full of metal grindings take apart and clean completely. The jaws work but need some fine tuning. Looks nice though. Has an oiler port. Is not stamped for jaw placement.

I had read the unit some other buyers got had burrs everywhere. Mine came clean. No burrs. A very nice chuck. Quite accurate. The only thing they should do is make the back plate thicker to accommodate flush mounting the socket head fasteners to hold it to the chuck. That way there would not be any protruding bolt heads.
