Very Good, reliable, and accurate
I compared accuracy against an expensive Amprobe 37XR-A multimeter, comparing various voltage readings, AC and DC, and resistances, ranging from about 10 ohms to 1 Mohm. The unit held up very well and I was quite pleased with its accuracy, and thus far, reliability. Highly recommended. Fantastic deal I think.Update: it is 8 April 2014, and the meter still works awesome. I highly recommend it. I'm planning on buying another one for a friend. I noticed the "most helpful critical review" says that there is no auto-off feature. Mine does have an auto-off. I'm not sure on the time, as I haven't measured it, but it seems to me that the auto-off takes ~10 min. Just before it turns off it makes a beeping sound, then shuts down. Mine definitely has an auto-off feature.

Good for the price
I haven't used the metre much, so cannot attest to its long term viability. So far, it has been fine.I thought I had trouble with the unit, and sent it back to Kaito. The service folks were very helpful.I believe my problem was in the manual that came with this DMM. It is exiguous, and that is being charitable. I would not be happy if I had paid what other on-line retailers are charging for this same metre.I recommend this unit and the seller.UPDATE: (31 October 2013) Metre is still working well. I recommend it even more, now!

Excellent for my purposes: periodic, light use by an amateur
I was worried about buying an inexpensive multimeter, but this product has worked out great so far. I've had it about a year and used it two or three dozen times. My wife also used it to test batteries. It's more sensitive and accurate than I had expected. The removable rubber casing is durable, and the integrated stand has been helpful. It's fairly easy to use, and I was surprised by how helpful the manual is. The only complication to working with it is that the red lead needs to be inserted into different terminals to measure certain things. Sometimes I sit there trying to figure out why the reading is 0, and it's because the lead is connected to the wrong terminal. Honestly, as an amateur, I should be paying closer attention when dealing with electricity.

Capacitor reading not working
I dont understand the problem with this thing. It seems to be unable to read any capacitors. It would not show any reading for about 10 seconds and then it will show 0L no matter what capacitor i use.Same thing for resistance. It slowly builds up the resistance reading, so slowly it makes me wonder.I think this unit is sophisticated garbage and slow.

a decent meter, but not as described
this is a decen budget meter, but it does not have the auto power off feature which was the reasion I was shopping for a new meter and therefore a deal killer for me... sent it back and was refunded promptly...

No test leads & larger size than description
The meter arrived without test leads in the box so I have to go thru the return/replace process. Description says the Product Dimensions are: 5 x 1.2 x 3.5 inches. The actual size is about 7.5" long x 1.2" thick x 3.5" wide. With the protective boot on it, add another 0.5" to all 3 dimensions. It is the same size as a Fluke 87. For reference the boot is PVC material and has a funny odor (not pleasant to me and different froma a Fluke 87 boot). The 4 star rating is for the functionality and price. Pretty awesome overall.

Sinometer or Mastech? Same meter but big price difference!
I bought this volt ohm meter in 2009 and it has been a very good and reliable meter. This particular item says the brand name is Sinometer, however, it is identical to the Mastech MY68 which is $20 higher.

Mastech Multieter MY68
The Mastech Multimeter MY68 is a professional tool. It is much more than I expected. Very useful and easy to use.
