A good product at a reasonable price

Works well! I love the fact that an alarm goes off when the battery voltage is to the minimum.

This type of device is very useful to track battery voltage precisely. It provides a clear, audible alarm when battery voltage drops to your preset value. I can personally vouch that you can hear it in a model that is at 200 feet or more away (up or downgrade). It provides me the security I want to be able to keep on flying when I would normally land “just in case”. I know that when the battery is low I’ll hear it and have enough reserve to land safely. Not just for aircraft though, I use them in my surface vehicles as well. I understand secondhand That they are useful in boats. I drive rock crawlers, And the runtime is long enough that it’s easy to forget to check voltage and damage of battery.A lot of people sell these devices. I’ve bought from several different vendors and never noticed a difference in quality, or even an appearance. These are certainly as good as any I’ve tried. I recommend them for any of the above uses, or similar.

I purchased these monitors for my Bebop 2 quadcopter battery charger. The original charger failed so I purchased a generic LiPo charger from Amazon (basic 2 wire connection). I was hoping I could use the monitor standalone - connect negative to negative, and positive to 3S (3 cells) and get a readout on the overall health - no go, the readouts were erratic at best. I guess that's what I deserve for trying to use them for an application for which they were not intended. I disassembled my LiPo battery and derived the pinout of the connector. After correctly connecting each battery tap, the monitor worked as expected - showed voltage for each battery in sequence, then displayed the total voltage. As many have pointed out, the low voltage alarm is quite loud (read annoying) but luckily can be disabled via the push button (unfortunately it still beeps a few times on power-up). Overall these work as advertised and I'm satisfied with the operation. It would have been good to have a little more connection info in the description.As for accuracy, I compared the voltages read from the monitor to those from a digital oscilloscope against 2 batteries. So there might be some discrepancy due to the way the monitor subtracts values (or my math on the scope). At any rate, the monitor voltages are close. If anyone knows how to do the math to compensate for the internal resistance, series voltage addition, and loads - feel free to add comments.Final thoughts - make sure you hook up the cell taps or the monitor will not work properly.

Nice little package with great functionality. Easy to connect up and more detailed hookup data is on the web if you need it. I used the voltmeter with three and four series battery packs. It has capability to monitor eight cells in series. .What a great value. .

Works great in my SCX-24 Jeep, hard to fit under the shell of a Deadbolt. I just put it under the velcro right on top of the battery and I can see the voltage through the windows. Test it for your use conditions. Set it higher than you think, and then time how long it takes to fully drain the battery after it starts beeping. I set mine so I have about 15 minutes of crawl time left, which is usually 3.4 or 3.5 volts. Once it beeps I know I can swap the battery and not have to worry about charging it immediately without damaging the battery if it's going to be a while before I'm back home.These things are LOUD! Probably great for a plane or a boat that gets pretty far away from you, but for a crawler that's always within 20 feet or so, they are ridiculously loud. I ended up trimming some ear plugs and shoving them in the speakers and I can still hear it across my yard.

There was some question that this would work for 1S LiPo. I can say definitively that it does! With the 2 wire LiPo battery plug, be sure black goes to Ground on the Alarm and the 2nd wire goes to the pin right next to it. Be sure you identify the ground plug on the Alarm properly.In general it is a great Alarm/Monitor for LiPo batteries. Displays each cell Voltage and overall Voltage. Display is large and easy to read from a distance. Highly reccomend.
