"The Knight in Shining Armor for Dead Batteries!"
Let me tell you, folks, the Battery Tender Battery Charger and Maintainer is like having a superhero for your battery-powered gadgets! It's the Batman of battery chargers - mysterious, effective, and always there when you need it. I bought this little gem after my car battery decided to take an unexpected vacation in the middle of nowhere. I mean, who doesn't love being stranded with a dead battery, right? Well, thanks to the Battery Tender, those days are gone! It's like a personal trainer for your battery, keeping it in tip-top shape. The setup was so easy, even my cat could do it. And he's more interested in chasing shadows than reading instruction manuals. The charger is so intuitive; I'm pretty sure it winked at me when I connected it right. Let's talk about speed. If this charger were a sprinter, it would give Usain Bolt a run for his money. It charges faster than I can decide what to have for dinner, and I'm notoriously indecisive! And the maintaining feature? Oh boy, it's like having a battery babysitter. It keeps my batteries healthy and full of life, like a fountain of youth. I half expect my car to start giving me life advice every time I turn it on. In conclusion, if you want to be the envy of all your gadget-owning friends, get yourself a Battery Tender Battery Charger and Maintainer. It's the best thing since sliced bread - if sliced bread could jump-start your car and keep your gadgets alive! Highly recommend for anyone who hates being stranded or loves their gadgets more than their morning coffee!

Works as intended
Works as it should. Keeps the ol girl charged during the winter. Had a previous one from battery tender that started flipping from charged to not charged. It was a decade old but while looking i found it cheaper here and works great. Easy install literally take it out of the box and go. Extra accessories included for multiple charge options.

Mixed review at 1st but went 5 stars
I was impressed with the packaging, the easy-to-understand instructions, the quality and simplicity, but then I thought it wasn't working properly and feared it would over-charge my new battery (due to some 1☆ reviews I read). My situation: we have a spare vehicle we only use once a month and then only drive short distances. After killing a 2 yr old battery, we got a new battery and our mechanic suggested a battery tender for this vehicle so I bought this. We had a new battery in the car. I hooked this up to the battery and it showed a red light for over 5 hours (meaning it's in charging mode). After the battery is at 80%, it's supposed to flash green, but after 5 hours it was still. So I unhooked it and hooked up our regular battery charger and it showed the battery was fully charged. I hooked the battery tender back up and it still showed solid red (charging) for another hour. Fearing it might fry my new battery, I disconnected. I decided to try it on my other car. I hooked up reg battery charger to other car and it was about 75% charged so I hooked up the battery tender and it showed solid red (charging) like it should and I went to bed. In the morning it was flashing green and then went to solid green indicating fully charged. So at this point, it's operating exactly as it should. So I hooked it back up to the first car. Back to solid red, but about an hour later, flashing green and then solid green now. So I'm not sure why it stayed red for so long on my new battery (that showed fully charged on my battery charger) but it seems to be working great now. Will update my review if anything changes as I plan to keep this connected full time until such time the vehicle is needed and repeat.

Works but needs upgrades
Item works as described. Would have given it 5 stars but the battery connectors don’t have good teeth so it’s difficult to connect to some battery posts especially side post batteries.

It does its job, and then some!
UPDATE -- It's now been 3+ years since I purchased this battery tender, and I couldn't be happier with it. I've continued forgetting to start up my vehicle, so I've continued needing to charge its battery. Much to my surprise--and delight--I found that the Deltran Battery Tender *WILL* indeed charge a completely dead battery! Yep, I know it will, because I've now done it several times! In each instance I simply hooked it up and left it for about 12 hours. I have no idea how much of that time it actually needed, but by the 12 hour mark my battery was charged. This is in a Toyota RAV4. I LOVE this thing! ----------- original review ----------- Because of ongoing illness, I rarely leave my house any more. Despite my best intentions to start up my vehicle every few days...or once a week...or...whatever, its battery kept dying...because I didn't start it up often enough! I finally decided there had to be a better way to deal with this than continually getting the battery charged. That's where the Battery Tender Plus comes in. I did some research to look for possible solutions, and once I learned about battery tenders, I was pretty sure I'd hit on a good one. Keep in mind that I'd never used, never even HEARD about, battery tenders before. So I plunged in a little prematurely when I ordered this one. Let me explain. I was in such a hurry to get one that I didn't bother reading all the fine details about all the different tenders I viewed. I read good reviews and saw good ratings for this particular brand, went to their web site, found the correct voltage for my vehicle, and then ordered it. It wasn't until my friend and I were installing it that I realized it wasn't really suited, logistically, for my particular situation. I park my vehicle in my driveway [because there's no room in my garage *sigh*]. Once we attached the tender we realized I'd goofed. When it's attached to the battery, the hood of the car cannot be closed all the way. It's a combination of the clips adding height to the battery AND having the power cord hanging out. You're not supposed to let the charger get wet, as in being outside in the rain, so we were kind of stumped. This model was clearly intended for a vehicle stored in a covered structure, where the hood could be left up and the charger wouldn't get wet. Before deciding to send it back, we thought we'd try doing a little rigging to make it work. I pulled my SUV all the way up to the garage door, then we stuck the charger inside the garage and let the door down gently; the power cord fit under the door without being touched, so that was fine. I have a Toyota RAV4, and its battery sits IMMEDIATELY below the windshield; its cover actually forms part of what you see as the exterior of the car, i.e., if you're looking at it from the front, the part just below the windshield wipers actually consists of the battery cover on one side. Because we couldn't get the battery cover back down into its normal, flush position, we could see that this would be a problem letting rain in. We put the hood down [almost all the way], being mindful not to crush the cord. Then we took a plastic bag, covered the area where the battery cover is, anchored the bag under a windshield wiper, stuck something on top of the bag to keep it from blowing off, and, voila!, problem(s) solved. :) If I had it to do over again, I'd definitely do a better job of researching the different styles battery tenders come in. I'm assuming there are self-contained units meant to be left installed at all times, with the hood shut, on vehicles not stored for months in a structure, only plugging/unplugging their power cord as needed. But live and learn! Note that although the instructions strongly warn against using an extension cord "unless absolutely necessary," the supplied cord is ridiculously short. Personally, I don't have a GFCI outlet right next to my vehicle, so I had no choice but to use an extension cord. The tender is working as expected. Its manual explains what its various lights signify when they're flashing or solid. If I remember correctly, the manual says that the tender will NOT charge a dead battery. So if your battery is dead, get it charged first and then hook up the tender. (See UPDATE above!)

Awesome and Easy to Use
Great and easy to use. I have it charging my car battery since I didn't drive it for a month. Everything checks out!

The running voltage of this charger is not proper for UAE
I bought this one from AMAZON.AE. However the charger is not proper for use in UAE because of the difference of working voltage. This charger works only on ~110 volts. However in UAE, the voltage is about ~220V. The charger i bought was damaged when being plugged into the outlet.

Not 240v
This charger is perfect for all batteries on vehicles and easy to fit. The only point I would like to make is that on the description it does not mention that it is 120v. I had to buy a voltage dropper which was not an issue apart from the fact that had I been aware I could have ordered that at the same time

Worked like a Charm!!
This Battery Tender does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I got the plus because some of the smaller models are now made in China. This one is still made in the USA. My bike sat all winter in a Canadian garage (Ice Cold Beers - No fridge required) with the battery still in. I was fearful that I would need a new battery. Tried starting this spring and of course it was dead. Hooked up the battery tender in the evening and the next morning she fired up on the first try! Surprisingly it actually started faster than usual. Great product!!!

Unsuitable for UK market
Product is 120V only, with a US-style mains connector. This has been deliberately mis-sold into the UK market via amazon.co.uk (the clue is in the name!). Stop listing this product in unsuitable markets, otherwise you're unnecessarily increasing your carbon footprint and wasting everybody's time and money.
