The Mac's Tie-Downs are a fantastic securing system for my CanAm X3. This tie down system has allowed me to get away from an older method in which I was compressing the springs to secure my buggy snugly to the deck. That method not only damaged my springs, but was far less secure than the Mac Tie-Down method of securing through the wheel. The ratchets are super beefy and have a finger release to easily open the hook for quick attachment or release. The time it takes to secure/unsecure my buggy improved by half, if not more. I did have one issue in that the metal ring on the wheel strap was too large to pass through my wheel. I cut one metal ring off and replaced it with locking chain carabiner (substantial size) that would pass through. The added carry bag was a nice addition. I highly recommend this tie down system.

For years, I have used standard tow straps/ratchets while transporting my motorcycles and cars. With my latest race car project, I wanted something that would protect the wheels and not be a tremendous pain to load up, take down or store. Everything in this package is top-notch. The straps themselves are beefy. The ratchets are clean, easy to use and easy to disengage. The handles are large, helping with the final tightening while loaded. The clips are nice and beefy as well. Easy to clip in, easy to clip out. The soft pads for the attachment points are velcro and fit around that portion of the straps perfectly. The pads are nice and thick so there is no chance of scuffing the wheels (or whatever point of your vehicle you choose to attach to). I was surprised to find four little velcro fasteners which are used to bundle up the excess strap in transit as well as keeping everything nice and neat in storage. Speaking of storage, I was quite pleased with the quality of the carry bag. Nice and compact, well-made and sturdy.I'm telling you, these are the best straps available. If you care about what you are transporting and are interested in saving time and effort, then look no further. If you are even reading this far into the reviews, you obviously care and therefore need to purchase these immediately. You will never regret it.

Great product Use to tie down a very expensive car in my trailer

This was my first set of Macs tie downs and I've been tickled to death. I put about 6k (23 different track events) miles on my trailer this season towing to and from tracks across the North East (WGI, LRP, NHMS, TMS) and never had a single issue.These Macs straps have held up amazingly well, and show virtually no wear. The wheel loops work great and are plenty big to go through a set of 18x10" wheels and around 275 rear tires and do a great job protecting the wheel as well.I was careless one day and strapped through right next to the valve stem, during the trip out the car moved just enough to press on the valve stem and drain the tire; keep this in mind so you don't make the same mistake I do! Another tip Ive discovered is that 6 full cycles on the ratchet (open/close) is about the perfect amount to take up on the slack end of the straps to ensure that they do not slip during transit.I can honestly say Ill never own another brand of tie downs again.

The best wheel tow strap kit money could buy. Very worth the money. The pads protect my high dollar wheels on my race car

You can see the quality in these before you even use them. You can get cheaper straps at other places, but the retainer on the hooks is what will keep your vehicle on the trailer in the event a strap loosens up due to a vehicle shift. A friend almost damaged his paint when his show truck walked sideways on his trailer and the unretained hook almost fell off. I knew from that I needed new straps. The padding is very nice in that I no longer need to pad my straps on my wheels with microfiber cloth. The low profile ratchets are a great thing too, no unneeded leader strap at the ratchet. The carry bag is a very nice bonus.

These Mac daddy's are bad A$$.

These straps were exactly what I was looking for. They can loop through a set of wheels, or they can be clipped to a D-ring like I have mounted on the frame of my car.The travel bag is handy and the storage straps are the ideal way to keep the extra tie down material from laying all over the place.
