Bad game balance
Too unbalanced. Ruined the game. My friend owns the bank and the other owns the vault. I'm broke. Please don't buy this game. A good lesson in capitalism tho.

Fun addition for monopoly

Love this as an addition to the main game. It adds a fun twist that keeps things interesting and adds the potential for monopoly to be a shorter game than the original version. It’s fairly simple to pick up on.

Hello, so I bought this expansion as it peaked my intrest as an avid monopoly enjoyer. I had no clue what I was in for as I only read the directions for the new expansion as I wanted to be suprised by the cards. Well suprised I was, there were several new ways to win the game as there are now win conditions that can easily bring a 2 hour game to a close in 10 to 20 minutes. Such win conditions as rolling doubles three times In a row or owning 8 properties can net you the winner of monopoly which I found ridiculous in a fun way. There are other aspects that are included in this expansion such as buying never before obtainable spaces such as go, go to jail, community chest and etc. This expansion adds alot of new twist and would highly reccomend. For an even crazier card would highly pair with one of the other expansions, like the free parking expasion.

I have a huge Monopoly fan - a 7 year old who has been playing since he was 3. As much as I get tired of playing a regular length game with him, these were only ok for me, unfortunately. I’d rather just play the game. His thoughts are that the buy all expansion is “pretty good.” He likes the jail expansion better, though. The buy all expansion does make the game a lot shorter. There is a lot to remember between playing the official rules, an extra die roll, taking care of chance instructions, remembering what cards you’ve purchased, etc. So much going on it was hard for me sometimes to know who had rolled last, if that property was actually purchased, and remembering the new rule card someone had purchased. Besides additional title deeds, the other cards for purchase were things like “your houses are free but everyone else gives the money to you instead of the bank” and “you get all the $50 bills from the bank and other players.” Definitely some fun ideas but just too much for me. Jail expansion is similar but doesn’t necessarily make the game end quickly as there’s no won and done cards like in buy all. A win with either add on is someone goes bankrupt or all properties or owned. Jail can still make for a pretty long game if it ends with all properties purchased. There were some unclear rules but we just decided the expansion rules trumped normal rules and made our own rules. For instance, building houses unevenly or when selecting a property from another player does it include mortgaged properties.
