Intriguing, well written...I was not able to stop
I've been scouring through "romantasy" books lately, listening to the hype and TikTok ads for them. And while some were great reads, I wanted to try something different. So I started blindly scrolling Kindle Unlimited and came across this book. The cover of course intrigued my thriller and horror loving brain and the synopsis seemed promising. I started to read around 2pm at work on a slow day. When quitting time came around, I couldn't stop. So I checked Audible, the audiobook was on sale so I bought it and listened on my way home, while cooking dinner and during my walk and while getting the kids and myself ready for bed. Then I laid down and picked my tablet up to continue reading. I fell asleep around midnight, woke up at 5 and started reading again. I kid you not, I could NOT stop myself from reading. The author has a very talented way of pulling you in, getting you attached to characters while at the same time ominously letting you know something big is coming and you NEED to get to it. I finished the book around 6am the morning after I started it. It's that good.My brain tried and tried to come up with the inevitable twist but I wasn't close. I'd tell you some of my theories but it will ruin it for you. Just read it and enjoy the ride! Well worth it!!

Really Good Pysch Mystery
I always knew there was something there that I couldn’t quite put my finger on… it wasn’t a fast read and there was a lot of Pysch terminology. Even being a nurse, that got boring but the truth just being out of my grasp kept me going. In the end, I really liked it.

Calm Start, Jaw-Dropping Finish
Spoiler AlertThe Silent Patient lures you in with a deceptively calm start—almost too quiet—but somehow impossible to walk away from. Then the second half hits like a freight train, and the final 30 pages left me completely stunned. Think The Sixth Sense meets Gone Girl with a touch of Memento—a brilliantly layered psychological thriller packed with twists you won’t see coming. My professor recommended it, and I’m seriously grateful she did. This one sticks with you.

Surprise!
Wow! This novel grabbed me from the first page and held on tight. I finished it in two days. If you enjoy a story with shocking twists and turns then this is the book for you. I won’t spoil anything by giving details. What I will say is read it for a wild ride!

Good, but not what I was expecting
It wasn't bad for a thriller book. If I had to rate it out of 10, I would say 6/10. The beginning was really good, but overall the book as a whole was good, but not amazing. I didn't really like how it ended up being all about the therapist instead of the main character. When I read the intro I was more interested in the main character being the messed up one.

Good read!
I loved and hated this book! It was slow starting. It rambled on too much at the beginning. But then it got better and hard to put down! I figured it out faster than most of the psych/thrillers I have read but it still had interesting twist throughout the book. The ending leaves you coming to your own conclusion. I wasn't exactly happy about that! But, all-in-all, it was a good read! I recommend!

A Psychological Thriller that will Shock You!
As much as I wanted happier endings for everyone, I was stunned by the revelations at the end. I’m really bummed that after everything there wasn’t a happier ending for Alicia and how she has to be stuck in a coo coo house, but the twists made it worth it. Definitely a psychological thriller that will shock you and make your jaw drop.

Holy Crap
I’m so glad I didn’t read reviews before I read the book. Reviewers gave too much away.It was so good. I had been closer to the end and still trying to put pieces together and I just wasn’t seeing it as the pages dwindled, which is super rare. And then just like that, there it was.I read too much. Most of it forgettable. I’ll definitely be remembering this book. Kudos to the author.
