I’ve been struggling with histamine intolerance for a while, and this DAO supplement really helps! I take one capsule before meals, and I can finally enjoy foods that used to trigger reactions. This has good histamine reducing results per capsule. It's inexpensive in a pinch but is only a few weeks worth if you take it daily.

I've only taken this a few times and have had what seems to be an allergic reaction every time I've taken this. And thats with opening the capsule and only taking 1/4-1/2 of a serving. I finally had to stop and research why this would be happening with a product that should be reducing allergic reactions! I started looking at the reviews and seeing that this is sourced from pork, which I am allergic to. Is this true? If so, it should be stated. Either way, the source of the supplement should be stated. For someone experiencing extreme histamine symptoms, this is awful to go through. The seller has a 365 day return window yet amazon says I can't return it. So I'm on here writing a review hoping the seller will make it right since I have no other way to contact them.

This is not the regular DAO but a vegan sourced supplement from who knows what as they do not list it anywhere that I can find. I gave it 3 stars because apparently it does work for some people, but for me, it caused severe nausea, bloating, and burping for hours after a half dose. I took the first half dose with breakfast as instructed on this website, and got sick shortly afterward. So in the afternoon with my lunch I decided to try the other half dose in an enteric coated capsule (I have to take a lot of supplements this way), to get it past my stomach (where the dao actually works) and it still made me ill for the rest of the day. So that was an expensive experiment, but with MCAS that seems to be the way it goes for me. Lots of money spent on stuff over the years that are in the "Supplement Boneyard."

Great price and great ingredients! Nothing questionable in the capsules. It’s become a staple in my medicine cabinet.
