Watkins All Natural Extract, Imitation Butter, 330ml

Butter extract is hard to find where I am so I ordered here on Amazon. It is a VERY large bottle. The smell of the butter extract is strong so it will come out in your baking well. I've used this to make coffee syrups and it works well. I just wished these were sold in smaller bottles since I only really need a few teaspoons at a time.

The smell is overwhelming and I wouldn't describe it as butter. And it's the dominant smell in my cupboard now despite being tightly closed. I think the taste is familiar from bought baked goods, that presumably use this and shortening instead of butter. Maybe I haven't found the optimal amount yet?

I love this stuff! Just a quarter of a teaspoon makes such a difference. I am trying to bake vegan but everything comes out tasteless and bland. This really gives things that buttery kick that vegetable shortening lacks. I add it to cakes, cookies, pie crusts and anything baked.

Can't go wrong with Watkins.

The product has great butter flavor however the delivery was poor. The bottle was not capped.
