Important note. So I have to give it either a 5-Star review or a 1, to make sure it's seen. Note of caution. The adaptor works fine -- it just doesn't work for what *I* hoped it would -- Worked for my USB 2.0 *wired* headset. Speakers/mic both work. But if you're trying to run a bluetooth dongle to the 1/8th in. speaker/mic jack on your computer? FYI, it didn't work for us in my company. It's an issue with the 1/8th jack, not the adaptor. Just isn't capable of bluetooth wireless connections. Got to use USB-2 port for that. So if you're buying it for a bluetooth connection, ah... you can try it, but didn't work for us. But yes, it *does*, however, work perfect if you have a USB-2 wired headset. No issues there. (But Bluetooth dongle, nope). But then, you'd be using your USB-2 port, right? No need for the 1/8th.... Unless you were in a situation like *us*. BACK STORY: The communications software my company uses spazzes out during VOIP calls. Some kind of glitch that garbles your voice every 5th call or so. My hunch was: some conflict related to using the USB-2 ports and the software at the same time. Can *hear* fine, but people say they can't understand you. The USB-2 ports are multifunction things. I reasoned that the 1/8" jack, on the other hand, is *DEDICATED* to communication devices (to speaker/mic). It has no other job but communications. I was right. I started using an old, cheap, 1/8th in. plug, wired headset. Voila! No issues. None. For weeks. Other employees, though, have fancy noise-canceling Bluetooth headsets. They wanted to know if there was an adaptor they could plug the Bluetooth dongle into so they could use the 1/8th in. jack, too. We tried this. Nope. Doesn't work. But I don't think it's the adaptor's fault. I'm betting the 1/8th in. jack isn't able to support Bluetooth. I'm back to working with my cheap, 1/8" plug, wired headset. (Oh well. Inconvenient but, it works).
