Men's 996 V2 Sneakers

New balance 996 it's a nice quality shoe with extreme comfort. I wear size 13 they're true to fit. They look good. They're not made in USA but they have a very nice quality suede on the shoe It's smooth and feels like I made an USA shoe. I'm not sure if it's the pig skin suede like they use on the made in England or made in the USA shoe. But it's still a very nice quality shoe. I bought the white and tan 996 instantly fell in love with the 996 so since then I have this pair and a three other pairs coming. I am a New balance freak I guess i have to say I've close to 40 pairs of new balance. I have a couple of closets dedicated to it. It's pretty sad. But I love New balance I think their shoes are made with quality and comfort in mind, with style. When you slide in your foot to the 996 you instantly feel that soft plush or feeling around your foot. They are snug and comfortable on your bottom foot. The laces are the better version of shoelaces. The colorway dark blue is really good I believe the version that I have bought here is outer space. If you're looking for a good quality shoe with some style I definitely recommend a 996. They have that retro look with a modern touch. They have a narrower look but then the 574. The toe is a little bit more square. But the quality really stands out. I always recommend New balance this shoe really is a quality shoe had a great price point.

The shoes are too small but my boys and I have been using NB's for about 3 years now and we are used to that. Advice for future buyers: always buy 1 size larger - I am European 45 and with most other brands it is a US 11 or 11.5 but I buy 12 New Balance and they fit perfect. My boys have also gone through 996 and 1296 and the same goes for them - one size larger and it's fine. Quality wise all 3 models deserve 5 star rating as they generally last(ed) about 6-7 months of tennis practice and tournament play. Go NB.

Great looking shoes and pretty comfortable, but a little narrow through the toe. More so than expected, and I have a fairly narrow foot. I would recommend ordering these in the E width if available. I originally ordered them in the standard D width and had to exchange for the E. I really like the look and outer material on these shoes though. 5/5 for style in my opinion, and overall, a comfortable, lightweight, and stable tennis shoe.

I have an 11 narrow (11B or 11N) foot, and these shoes fit me almost perfectly. I've normally had to wear the New Balance 804 series and decided to switch to this shoe. If you have a normal width foot, you may find that these run narrow. I'd order the wide. Length wise, it's spot on as an 11. These shoes are much more flexible that the NB 804 and much lighter.

These look and feel great. The fit is perfect and true to size. These do not have as large of a toe box as the 574, which make my size 13 feet look huge, yet not as narrow as the 997h, which don’t fit my average width feet as comfortably. I would say they are a happy balance of style and comfort. Very happy with these. The gray color way is awesome and attractive and goes with most outfits I throw their way.

I was a little concerned these didn’t come in a new balance box but the fit is comfortable and they look clean. Every day kind of shoe with a clean look.

Other reviewers have noted that this shoe fits a bit small. I have the "D" width, and it works for my narrow foot, but for most people, buy a wider size unless you are really sure. This is a high quality tennis snoe .. no marking sole. Good support, good traction.

Amazing shoes, really love this, it's even better than the picture in real life. It fits well, supports the back heel and has good air comfort. One thing I wish was there was better cushioning, as it feels like the sole doesn't have enough cushioning. I wear it to gym also so yes, it handles folds and stretches really well but not very comfortable while running. So if you want to buy this for normal outings and for its design and amazing look go ahead, but if you are buying this for long hours of wearing or running, there are better options at lower prices.
