Amana AMAP121AB Portable Air Conditioner with Remote Control in White/Black for rooms up to 350-Sq. Ft.

The air conditioner arrived several days earlier than expected, which was nice. What I like best about the unit is the remote control because it is easy to use and convenient. The noise level is around a medium volume amount, wish it was quieter, but I haven't owned a unit before so I'm not sure of the standard noise level.My only complaint in the duct that connects the unit to the window is a little awkward since it falls out of the window piece sometimes or out of the back part of the unit. And it's hard to reconnect to the back again!

We bought this AC for our 40 ft camper. We live in Wisconsin, so it gets very hot and humid. This AC works very well. Easily cools our main area. Much quieter than our ceiling mounted AC which I rarely run because it’s extremely loud. This one is a nice humming, similar to a floor fan. We have a bedroom that I will be buying another one for, as this one doesn’t cool the bedroom. I love the sleek design! I got the gold one and you don’t really notice it, unlike the big ugly white ones. 🙈 we vented it out a small window and used a blanket to fill in the opening, as the kit that came with it is overkill for our smal window. Instead of cutting the barrier down, we decided to keep it as is Incase we need it in the future for a different room or our home.

LED is almost unreadable and lite stays on the disply is too short of time and too touchy----shut off flaps of outside air when shut off is good idea---larger hose workswell and no need of drain hose or buckest is also good

Sleek portable air conditioner,does a good job. It's in our fairly large bedroom and cools it nicely. The only negative comment would be the vent it detaches from the slide which goes in window. This piece could be made better by Amana. Otherwise nice unit.

Cools my bedroom nicely, but unit is extremely loud when compressor turns on. Remote screen does not light up, so it is difficult to use in the dark.

I had high hope but very disappointed. Unit is super noisy, though it gets quieter if I prop up one of the corners about 2 inches. The case is also separating from the main chassis and I cannot get it to go back into place, poor QC. The remote seems to work on occasion when its in the mood and you'll see the temp adjustments on the remote, but not on the unit, even though the unit is beeping. Save your $400+ and buy something else.

Worst waist of money. I ordered as I was familiar with the brand. Very noisy and rarely was anything cooled. The size and look are very nice. I had little good night's sleep as it couldnt cool even a small bedroom and rattled. Dont buy this.

This portable air conditioner cools down areas of 400 square feet & more. live in the Desert Southwest and left it on low most of the time. worked even better in combination with a celling fan bringing cool air from the first story to the upstairs loft area, which cooled down nicely.
